Pablo | A shoeing package tailored to him 🩶

After an international season without knocking down a single fence, Pablo was ranked fifth among six-year-olds worldwide and travelled to Lanaken for the Young Horse World Championships. We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in his journey. 🏅

As Pablo progresses, we’ve tailored his shoeing to his hoof conformation and the surfaces he jumps on. One front foot is boxy and narrow, with a deep central cleft and a history of a sheared heel, while the other is flatter with a wider surface area. Our aim is to create symmetry between the two, encouraging even movement and stability through his limbs.

His heart bar provides positive frog contact, sharing load with the hoof wall and heels while creating a broader, more stable base. The Mustad ComfortMix packing artificially creates the same sole depth between the two feet, helping them achieve a more even footfall on a soft surface and limiting how much further the narrower foot sinks than the opposite foot.

We’ve paired this with a reversed concave section, allowing Pablo to find his own “sweet spot” and place his foot comfortably on landing.

Together, these elements make a package shaped around the needs of a very special horse. 🩶

Cas is looking fantastic in his new EasyCare Versa Grip shoes! 🐎✨

Cas and his owner, Georgie, are a brilliant example of just how versatile Thoroughbreds can be. Together, they’re taking on endurance rides of up to 40km, and their hard work has recently earned them selection to represent our region as part of the Inter-Regional Team — an incredible achievement!

For Cas, we chose Versa Grips to provide protection and reliable traction without creating nail holes, helping to preserve his hoof strength and support his return to being barefoot over the winter.

And of course they had to be dyed to match their endurance colours, giving Cas a smart, personalised look for the many miles he covers! 💪🏼🐎

What a fantastic weekend at Tweseldown! 🌟

A huge congratulations to our new client .eventing on an incredible 5th place finish in the BE Intermediate 🏅 This is such a brilliant achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of both horse and rider. Zac is absolutely flying through the levels 🚀

We’re so excited to be part of this journey and love being part of such a fantastic team who care so deeply for their horses and put everything into their sport. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store — here’s to many more successes together! ✨

A lovely client recommendation for the unicorn pony Ernie and Max!🦄
He’s a super cool boy and while he may be one of the smallest on the yard, he sure is the biggest in his mind 😎

As the ground is rock soild at the moment and we all pray for the rain, many horses are struggling. Ernie feels a lot more comfortable and confident with his pads on in the eventing season, allowing both horse and rider to be at peak performance!

I’m pleased to say I’m now taking on new clients and offering a full range of farriery services. Whether your horse is in full work, retired, barefoot, or shod, every horse I work with receives the same careful, considered approach.

My focus is on delivering consistent, high-quality hoof care that supports soundness, comfort, and long-term health. I believe that good farriery isn’t just about the shoes—it’s about understanding the
horse in front of you, working with their conformation, movement, and environment, and taking the time to get things right.

I aim to be reliable, approachable, and easy to work with. I’m always happy to talk through any concerns, explain what I’m seeing or doing, and work as part of a team alongside owners, vets, and other professionals.
