🐾 Meet gorgeous Jasper, 17 month old Frenchie! 😍

Jasper's mum called me as Jasper was starting to show agreession towards the humans in the home in certain situations and does resource guard around items as well.

The session was great, Jasper is an anxious dog, very on alert and when the house is busy, he struggles to switch off and calm down. We worked on how we can help him with this, how to improve the relationship between him and his humans again and also making sure Jasper has a clear understanding of what his humans are asking him. When I left Jasper's mum understood him better and I know with the training and things we have put in place they will build that relationship and trust again.

It is so important when working on behaviours like aggression, resource guarding, and reactivity to understand why the dog is behaving like they are. It is easy to manage or distract dogs from doing that behaviour but understanding why the dogs does the behaviours in the first place means that we can work on that to make sure the dog doesn't feel the need to show that behaviour again.

9.30am - Puppy Class (2 spaces left)
12pm- Dog over 6 months old

Along with 5 x 1 hour weekly training sessions you will also receive a private 121 training session at home.

🐾 Today is National Dog Day!! 🐾

These are my 3 and my grandpup.

All individual, all have their own little personalities, likes and dislikes. All gorgeous and know it!! 🥰

🐾 What a great puppy class today! 🐾

Yell, Teddy, Peggy, Mabel and Reggie did so well, very proud of the all 🌟

We worked on recall past the other puppies which they were amazing at. Then we did loose lead walking working on ignoring the other pups and people and then finished with a find it game. We also worked on settling which is a great exercise to practice with pups.

Clever pups, I am sure they are having a well deserved sleep now! ❤️🐾

🐾 Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with these two gorgeous girls Tika and Buna 4 month old Rottie cross sisters! 🐾

Their mum contacted me as she needed help working on some training with loose lead walking, recall, greeting people and focus around distraction and each other. They already had a great routine and some good foundation training.

We had a great session, working with each of them individually. We started off in the home working on calmness and giving the girls mental stimulation and starting to give them the tools to switch off.
We then went out for a walk to work on loose lead walking, both girls did so well 🌟 They are very different characters and need totally different training so we have put an individual plan in place for each of the girls.

Having one puppy is hard but having siblings is real dedication. Littermate syndrome is something that can occur when you have two puppies from the same litter. Sometimes the bond between the siblings is very strong to the detriment of the bond between the puppies and their human. It is so important to put the time in to work with each puppy individually and build the bond with them one on one. Make sure you mange play between pups and resources while they are developing to stop any sibling aggression particularly during adolescence. It can also occur between dogs in the home of a similar age.

Tika and Buna's mum is now working on this and I am pleased that I can be part of the journey.
