An incredible morning tracking elephants at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya where we saw 99 elephants! But this tiny one day old calf completely stole our hearts. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Still rather wobbly on his feet, heโ€™s learning to balance, coordinate his movements and even work out what to do with that little trunk!

๐Ÿฆโค๏ธ A little brotherly love in the lion pride!

After a big buffalo feast, this sleepy older brother still had time for a little TLC when his 6 month old brother came wandering over. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Just look how gently he grooms him, while the little cub quietly takes in everything going on around him.

Such a beautiful moment to witness at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. I could have watched them all day! โ™ฅ๏ธ

๐Ÿฆ›โค๏ธ Never underestimate how quickly a hippo can move!

One minute, mum and baby were enjoying a peaceful rest on the riverbank in Kenyaโ€ฆ

The next, a fish eagle startled the little one, who dived straight into the water!

And mum? From fast asleep to following her baby in a split second! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

It was incredible to see just how quickly these enormous animals can react.

โค๏ธ From peaceful grazing to running for their lives! ๐Ÿฆ’

Today we were admiring a tiny giraffe calf with his mum at Ol Pejeta. Such a beautiful, peaceful moment.

Then, completely out of nowhere, a young lion began to hunt them! ๐Ÿฆ

In seconds, everything changed. Those usually calm, elegant giraffes were running like the wind. The speed, power and sheer urgency of their movement was incredible to witness.

Thankfully, the little giraffe escaped and lives to see another day. โค๏ธ

One minute peaceful, the next a reminder of just how quickly life can change in the wild.

๐Ÿต๐ŸŒ When youโ€™ve eaten all your favourite bananas and someone offers you an orange instead! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Remind anyone of a toddler not getting what they want?

We had the wonderful opportunity to watch the rescued chimpanzees at Ol Pejeta during feeding time, and it was fascinating to observe how they communicate.

Meet little Astra! โค๏ธ

Astra had finished his favourite bananas and was making it very clear that he wanted more and definitely wasnโ€™t impressed with the offer of an orange!

Watch his body language as he communicates with his carer. The chest beating, sitting down curling his body and even throwing back his banana skins!

And just as fascinating was watching how his carer responded to him.

The carers here are absolutely wonderful. The understanding, patience and genuine love they have for their chimpanzee family is so lovely to see. โค๏ธ

Such a special reminder of just how much animals communicate when we take the time to watch and listen. ๐Ÿต๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿฆโค๏ธ Four months old and already full of character!

Just look at this gorgeous little wild southern white rhino at Ol Pejeta! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Only four months old and so curious! He came right up close to us, had a little skip and a run around, and even chased the birds away!

All the while, Mum was in the background keeping a watchful eye. โค๏ธ

It was fascinating watching his body language, how he chose to approach us and how he interacted with the other animals around him.

What a privilege to observe this wonderful little character in the wild. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’•

What an incredible experience spending time with the anti-poaching dog team here at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya.

I even had the opportunity to become a dog handler for a tracking exercise!

Katarina went off to hide, and then it was our job to follow her trail. Watching these amazing dogs put their noses to work, and experiencing firsthand what itโ€™s like to work alongside them, was just fascinating.

These dogs and their handlers do such important work helping to protect wildlife, and it was a real privilege to spend time with them.

And afterwards? A little TTouch time! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿพ

It was lovely to be able to share some gentle TTouch with the dogs after their work, giving them an opportunity to enjoy some quieter moments and relax.

We had the most incredible encounter with these two beautiful young elephants out in the wild at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya.

They seemed just as curious about us as we were about them, lifting their trunks to investigate our scent. ๐Ÿ˜

It was fascinating to watch them using their wonderful sense of smell to explore the world around them.

Great to stand quietly and observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment.

One of those very special moments that will stay with us for a long time. โ™ฅ๏ธ

How many elephants can you fit in a bath? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ฆ

Yesterday we visited the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust here in Kenya.

We met 15 beautiful young elephants, watched them come in for their milk and then settle down for a wallow and play in the water. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ฆ

It was actually incredibly peaceful just standing and watching them together โ€” their different personalities, the way they interacted with one another and, of course, just how much they enjoyed their bath!

And we met gorgeous baby rhino Tytan and his best friend Notty the zebra. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ“โค๏ธ What an adorable pair.

Such a special experience and wonderful to see the care being given to these young animals as they make their journey towards a future back in the wild.

Definitely one of those moments I will treasure โ™ฅ๏ธ

Today is World Rhino Day, so it feels like the perfect time to share a little more about the journey ahead.

Katarina from Earth Talk and I will be travelling to Kenya to volunteer at Ol Pejeta Conservancy. ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ช

Najin and Fatuโ€™s story is an extraordinary one. Knowing that just two individuals remain is a powerful reminder of how precious our wildlife is.

Weโ€™re going to Ol Pejeta to learn, listen and explore how the skills we bring might support the incredible work already being done there for rhinos and other wildlife.

Iโ€™m so looking forward to seeing that work first-hand, meeting the people behind it and hopefully playing a small part in something that matters enormously.

And somehow, seeing this photo of Najin and Fatu makes it all feel very real.
