The #1 most common comment us dog walkers get 😆
What makes me chuckle is the fact that most of the time they are all off-lead and I literally have nothing in my hands 🤷🏻♀️😂
But over the years, I’ve also realised this sentence can mean two very different things…
💕 The positive one:
“You’ve got your hands full!”
…said with a smile while looking at a group of happy, gorgeous dogs.
🙃 The judgemental one:
“You’ve got your hands full…”
…said while looking at multiple dogs as though there’s no way I have them all under control and am therefore, doing something I shouldn’t be 🤨
And I get it to an extent. From the outside, walking a group of dogs might look chaotic. But what you don’t see is the years of experience, training, relationship-building, planning and understanding that goes into making those walks work.
These dogs aren’t just a handful of dogs that have been thrown together. They’re individuals with different personalities, needs, quirks and friendships, and watching them grow in confidence, learn from each other and have the best time together is one of my favourite parts of the job 🐾❤️
So yes… I’ve got my hands full.
But they’re full of waggy tails, muddy paws, happy faces and a whole lot of love 🥰
