Not quite sure it’s sunk in yet… 6th place in the Novice Silver class at the BD National championships!
When we received our Wildcard entry, just being there felt like an achievement in itself. But to finish 6th and come home with a frilly amongst such a large class of amazing talent and incredible horses was far beyond expectations.
Thora (owned by Martina Kaule) gave me absolutely everything in the arena (despite the rain) and I couldn’t be prouder of her! She held her own and stayed with me the whole test and I absolutely love the partnership we have formed.
We’ve come along way and days like this remind you of how the hard work pays off.
With all 5 judges giving us a combined score of 69.74% (one giving a huge 74%!), Thora absolutely earned her spot in the top 10.
A huge thank you to Martina for continuing to trust me with her beautiful mare and all the hard work behind the scenes. Also to Dawn Castle for delivering Thora the 4 long hours in the lorry and all her help. For also putting up with both Martina and I 🤣. Team work definitely makes the dream work!
I was also lucky enough to have the support of my cheerleading husband Sam Elliott which made the experience even more special 🥰
