Two new breeds are becoming recognised ๐ฃ
The Braque du Bourbonnais originates in Franceโs Bourbonnais region and is an ancient pointing breed dating back to the 16th century. Known for its hunting ability and friendly, adaptable nature, it is growing in popularity both as a gundog and companion.
The Epagneul Franรงais dates back to the 14th century, and is an ancient French gundog prized for its intelligence, versatility and gentle temperament. After a period of a decline, they're now growing popular as both a working dog and family companion.
Both breeds will be recognised from 1 October 2026, taking the total recognised breeds to 230.
