🌾🐾 Grass seed season is here and these tiny seeds can cause big problems for our dogs.

Grass seeds can easily get trapped in ears, paws, eyes, noses and even under the skin, leading to pain, infections and sometimes serious injury.

After every walk, especially through long grass, take a few minutes to check your dog’s:
👂 Ears
🐾 Paws and between toes
👀 Eyes
🧥 Coat

Watch out for signs such as head shaking, limping, excessive licking, swelling, sneezing or redness.

🐾 A Friendly Reminder for Dog Owners 🐾

As I'm sure you're aware, the hot weather isn't our furry friends' best friend. Over the coming week, temperatures are expected to reach 29–30°C, which is far too hot for many dogs to walk safely.

Dogs are much more prone to heatstroke than we are, so what may feel comfortable for us can be dangerous for them. Please also remember that pavements and paths can become extremely hot and may burn the pads of their paws.

If you need to take your dog out, try to walk them early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler. Always make sure they have access to plenty of fresh water and shade.

Let's keep our furry friends safe and comfortable during the heatwave. 🐶❤️

☀️🐾 As the weather warms up, it’s important to remember that our dogs can struggle in the heat much more quickly than we do. Even temperatures that feel comfortable to us can become dangerous for our furry friends especially puppies, older dogs, flat-faced breeds, and overweight dogs. Always make sure your dog has access to fresh water, shade, and avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day.
