A family I know are looking for a new home for their very large dog, he has a recent bite history. No hate comments please. If a suitable option cannot be found or appropriate rescue cannot be sort, the dog will need to be PTS.

☀️ Important Heatwave Update for All Clients ☀️

With temperatures rising sharply this week, it’s no longer safe for dogs to be walked or transported during the day. Dogs can begin to struggle from 23°C, and anything 24°C+ is considered dangerous for most breeds. Your dog’s safety comes first, so I’ll be adjusting services until the weather cools.

Here’s what’s changing:

• Standard walks will be paused once temperatures reach unsafe levels (23–24°C+).
• Toilet breaks only (5–10 minutes, shaded areas preferable).
• Indoor/outdoor shaded enrichment visits will replace walks to keep dogs stimulated and comfortable.
• Cooling activities such as lick mats, snuffle games and calm scent work will be provided (if you want to provide any cold enrichment for us to use please do and let us know).
• Hydration checks included at every visit.

For day‑sit clients:

• Instead of travelling in the van, your dog will receive a series of shorter home visits throughout the day.
• This avoids heat exposure and keeps them safe, cool and settled in their own environment.

These changes follow vet‑approved heat‑safety guidelines and are in place to prevent heatstroke, which can develop in minutes.

Thank you for understanding and supporting these temporary adjustments to keep every dog safe. If you need to tweak your bookings, just let me know. No bookings have or will be cancelled due to this weather, just adapted safely 😊 🐾
