There is nothing wrong with saying “I need help” you won’t get any judgement from me on that. Unfortunately some people would rather say their dogs broken or somehow special/different.

I teach the dog and the human when you work with me so you both gain some skills and knowledge

P.s the Internet and social media is a circus, I have to avoid comment sections for the amount of nonsense and incorrect info that’s in there 🤣

Blue’s owners never imagined he’d be able to walk calmly alongside another dog for an hour. Today he did exactly that.

Helps that Ralph is Mr social, but we did an exposure session with Ralph several weeks ago and the proximity had to be far higher which shows the progress Blue has made.

Work in progress with Blue, after he was attacked by a few dogs he’s fear reactive to dogs which typically shows up as lunging and snapping then spinning round and attacking his lead.

Being this close to a dog seems a small win but in Blues case this is huge progress. We passed several dogs and he was able to look at them, watch them and then disengage.

Brock came to me fear reactive to Dogs, joggers and bikes . His recall was hit and miss and his lead walking was non-existent. This meant the variety of walks and freedom was very limited.

Fast forward to now and we’ve improved everywhere and he’s now off lead with other dogs. There’s still some work to do around bikes but we had a great session today and we will get him comfortable with them over the next few weeks.

Pug that used to go mental at the TV watching a documentary about polar bears and not kicking off.

Imagine if you are practising that sequence of events in the house, how that can transfer to out of the house….

First time I’ve trained a Deaf dog. Not all that different. I love this boy such a big softy!

We actually tackled a bit of a list of challenges
- Fussy eater with no food motivation = Now taking food outside and eating regular meals
- Poor sleeping habits keeping his dad up all night = Now able to settle
- Didn’t enjoy going out for walks would stop and not move. Now loving it outside (see clip!)
- Recall and hand touch we trained separately, but we are now using nose to hand touch as his recall as that is what the owners have practised most
- socialisation, can be excitable when meeting new dogs and would often freeze which got things off to a bad start. Got him playing with dogs off lead which he wasn’t doing before and managed him through introductions to avoid getting off in the wrong paw!

The above plus some structured play and enrichment has led to a far calmer dog in the house.
