Today, I gave a long reining demo at Hickstead camp. It was a great audience who was showing interest and also asked many positive questions. The demo horse was Sully, who's owner Bizzy kindly brought to the venue. He was the star of the day! Sully is a 7 year old Irish Draft. He's big, 16.3, and a lot of horse to ride. Bizzy's daughter Amelia normally rides Sully and they're both into jumping. The long reining work I do with Sully, helps him to stay supple and more balanced, which is helpful for Amelia as well. His performance today made me very proud 🩷

Today I met some new horses, young and wobbley, just started their journey, a horse with some spooky quirks and another lovely horse that needed more suppleness. A great day in the sunshine! ☀️

Roughway Arena is a great place to open up the mind of the horse as it's a open and big space. Still, we can integrate control of the movement whilst having fun 😀 🐎
