We are so very proud of final year vet student Yun who's been selected to present at the British Veterinary Association conference this year! This is such an achievement 👏 Well done Yun! Friends of the clinic will recognise Yun as she has undertaken many training placements with us over the years at the clinic. She will soon become Dr Ip when she qualifies and will be joining our team of vets in September making us a team of 4 vets 💪

Thank you to one of our lovely families for this yummy and beautiful gift ❤️. The team thoroughly enjoyed it 😋

Norbert found his forever home today! If you've been following his journey you'll know he was dumped outside a bus stop in South Harrow this month! He has been castrated, FIV and FeLV tested and had parasite preventatives applied so he has been given an A1 bill of health before being adopted today and we wish him well in his future home 🐾 Thank you to his new mummy for rehoming him. We are so grateful you have offered him a wonderful home 🏡 Living at a busy vet clinic is no place for a cat who loves to free roam and play!

Important change affecting Pet Travel that was announced by the UK Government last week:

What is changing?
From 22 April 2026, new EU rules will apply to the non‑commercial movement of dogs, cats and ferrets entering the EU from third countries such as Great Britain (GB).
An EU pet passport, issued to or held by a pet owner who is resident in GB, will no longer be a valid document for travelling with pets from GB to the EU. This applies to EU pet passports issued in an EU Member State or Northern Ireland, including those issued before 22 April 2026. EU pet passports may only be issued to owners whose main residence is within the European Union.
GB residents travelling to the EU with a pet dog, cat or ferret will need to obtain an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for travel from 22 April 2026. Please contact our clinic if you need further guidance 0208 422 4757.

For now enjoy a pic of Yorkshire Terrier Peanut in Paris (Dr Nicola's dog)!

Looking for my forever home! I was abandoned at a bus stop in South Harrow this week :( The team at Medivet South Harrow have castrated me and I am waiting for a new home. I am FIV/FeLV negative. I am cuddly and friendly and an under 1 year old boy. Please email [email protected] if you think you can help. Please refrain from messaging on messenger as the inbox is not monitored.
