Riches to Rags - and hopefully back again

Duchess of Ripon! Actually looking like a horse, much less like a prop from a Halloween film! Still has topline and muscle in the bucket loads to gain, but she is shiny, bright and full of life. ❣️❤️

We are all official! Duplicate passports received.

Duchess of Ripon, 4 month progress. Slow going but this beautiful soul will be whole again.

Unnamed 2020 filly by Kayo Koco and Albaasil
Now called Shantih.
Abandoned and neglected by breeder/owner.
Lovely to see her so happy for human contact. 🥰

And again, third time with someone on board, getting braver and just thriving on the attention and having a job. Lacking muscle etc but it will all come.

Gorgeous Shantih, first time with a rider on board - she just took it all in her stride.
We are going to presume she was probably backed and taken out with a string as a 2 year old but we know has deffo done nothing in a few years.

Improving daily! Still a long way to go for Duchess but definitely looking more hopeful. It's a full on canter down the field now whenever anyone arrives 😊 replacement passports have been applied for and now their story can be fully heard!

Enjoying some sunshine and a belly full of grass 🥰

Sorry all been a bit quiet on here. Duchess and Shantih as well have decided to call her are doing well.
Abscesses still an issue for Shantih but getting there.
Teeth have been done, feet done again and backs checked over.
All in all progressing well, pleased to see people (and dinner!) and now finally allowed out on full time grass. Both still get tired easily but love a burst of freshness!
Still awaiting passports being released be it originals or copies.
Vet checks and vaccines ready to start now they are stronger and they have been able to be wormed.
