Yesterday out on Blackheath with my Ridgeback pack chasing one another in and out of the ferns and leaping around in the heather. Lots of fun and frolics - just the way a good walk should be. Don't they look a picture?

Yesterday the sun was out and it still felt Summery - Where better to blow off some steam and cool down than Whitmoor Common. Now that's what I call having fun - "Inuit"

What a difference a day makes. Seems hard to believe that these were taken yesterday.

A nice way to end the week. Blowing off some steam and cooling off in the best way possible. Clover, Bramble and Harry make the most of the watery ditches at Whitmoor Common.

You can lead a dog to a patch of land where there's water but it's up to them if they're gonna jump in and get absolutely soaked to the skin and covered in muddy water. These three absolutely love a drop of water and the muddier the better. Play on McDuff.

Hot, hot, hot. So shade and water are order of the day. Even Charlie got his paws wet today when we stepped out of Blackheath for a while and into a nearby stream. Everyone got wet except me and had it been an afternoon walk I would have been sorely tempted to lay down in it. Lots of drinking water for the dogs on the way round and plenty of ice lollies for me when I got home. Ahhhhhh.

'Dogs just wanna have fun' & a stick to chase and gnaw on & loads of lovely countryside to burn off some steam with their pals. Here's a few doing just that.

It was a fine day for an outdoor office and here's the view from mine today.

How is it that the undergrowth becomes infinitely more overgrown after a day's worth of rain. The ferns were positively Amazonian this morning and where do all those brambles get off wrapping themselves round you as you pass. And where did all those people come from. My office seemed larger than life and very busy this morning.

You can tell that the temperature has dropped dramatically - the dogs seem to have endless amounts of energy and a chase through the undergrowth with the fun police is close to what the dog walker ordered.
