Ponyo and Kiki were the latest visitors to the RAF headquarters for bonding. These two just needed some gentle encouragement to settle with one another and now little nervous Kiki relies on Ponyo for safety and comfort 🤍🤍🤍

During lockdown Blaire bought home a baby fluff not knowing how much her life would change after 🤍

After Sootie came his wife Mabel and thankfully it was love at first sight 🐰❤️🐰Blaire wanted to expand the fluffle to a trio but this proved difficult and so Blaire had to go through the bonding process using “professional” bonders. Due to the bad experience Blaire became determined the learn more about the process herself.

Sootie enabled Blaire to meet Lucy ❤️👩🏼‍⚕️ With their mutual passion to rescue animals they learned how to bond bunnies safely and with minimal stress, and their fluffle went from strength to strength, now sitting at 10 strong 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰

It is generally thought that male-female pairs are best but look at these three boys forming the cutest trio! While same s*x pairing is usually harder, we do have lots of same s*x pairs which work very well. It’s all about the individuals!

Stress bonding involves putting rabbits in severely enclosed space to force interaction and utilising negative punishment. This is not ok on any level ✋ 🛑 ‼️ 🚨

Yes we have to use a reduced space but this should be for a short time only, and still the rabbits should be able to hop, binky, periscope and flop without any issues 🐰

Our trickiest trio yet! 🤦‍♀️ Harris and Isla weren’t that keen on sharing their life with fluffy lionhead Oban, who after years of neglect was not sure about appropriate rabbit social behaviours! 🤷🏼‍♀️

We used time, patience, lots of food and lots of pet remedy and finally they cracked! They now live like royalty, free roam in the house with two bunny slaves as parents 🐰🐰

Been there and done that! After 5 years of rescuing and bonding rabbits we’ve learned every trick under the sun ☀️

You also have a rabbit-savvy vet caring for them daily just in case they become unwell! All bunnies are covered by our boarding insurance when they stay with us so you can rest easy too 💊

There is nothing better then seeing a rabbit’s life do a full 180! ❤️ Jack was neglected for years in a hutch. He was overweight and depressed, choosing to spend all day in his litter tray 💔

He was rescued and introduced to Gromit and Feathers and formed the best boy trio ever! Jack came out of his shell and learned how to be a rabbit, enjoying rabbit bonds and exploring his lovely big home 🐰🐰🐰

This is a question we get very commonly and unfortunately, there isn’t a definitive answer!

Bonding can be as instantaneous as love at first site ❤️ or can take months. Some rabbits don’t bond at all with particular individuals! ❌

We typically take a pair or trio for 10 days which seems to be enough to get the majority of buns together cohabitating peacefully, with a lot actually bonding during this time. For bigger groups we extend this to several weeks. 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰

Patience is key, don’t be disheartened if your buns aren’t an immediate pairing!
