Meet the mighty Shelby!

Small in size, but mighty in absolutely everything! Personality, drive, feelings and those terrier instincts!

This little Parson Russell Terrier absolutely loves exploring her environment, but underneath that bold exterior is a little lady who’s not quite as confident as she might appear.

She loves the world around her, but everyone in it? Well, they can kindly stay out of her space!

We’re looking at understanding what’s driving those reactions, building confidence and helping Shelby learn that the world doesn’t always need such a big response.

Small dog, BIG personality and plenty to work with!

Love you Shelby ☺️🐾

Lovely to catch up with Scamp for his second session, with Pippa tagging along to help

Understanding the WHY behind reactivity is so important.

We can avoid situations, use tools to manage behaviour or push dogs through experiences they’re not comfortable with. But are we actually changing how they feel?

When we understand what’s driving those reactions, we can start changing associations, building confidence and teaching better ways to respond.

It’s a journey, especially with rescue dogs whose past we may know very little about.

Scamp has a lovely family who are committed to understanding him and learning alongside him.

Little steps, real progress. Well done, Scamp and family 🐾

A little look into our Saturday classes at Meg, Pippa & Co!

I absolutely love watching the journey our dogs and owners go on together. The commitment, the patience and the effort people put into helping their dogs become the companions they’d love to share their lives with.

Training is something I really believe should be considered from the moment we decide to welcome a dog into our lives.

After all, we’re asking an awful lot of them!

We bring them into a very human world, put leads on them, set boundaries, restrict where they can go and expect them to understand how to behave in all sorts of situations.

In many ways, we homeschool our puppies and then suddenly expect them to cope when they’re thrown into the playground!

They need opportunities to learn, practise and understand what’s expected of them.

That’s what our classes are all about. Not perfect obedience or perfectly behaved dogs, but building confidence, communication, calmness and those all-important everyday skills.

And what I love most? Watching owners grow in confidence alongside their dogs.

A huge well done to everyone who turns up, puts the work in and keeps building on those little wins.

Real dogs. Real people. Real life training.

Rainy days with Oakley! 💜

A little car training followed by a lovely walk in the rain. And do you know what? Sometimes these are the best days! 😂

We’re taking little steps with the car, building confidence and making sure Oakley feels comfortable rather than rushing the process.

Then out for a good old soggy walk!

Nothing fancy, no big expectations. Just time together, little wins and another bit of progress.

It’s those small steps that make the biggest difference.

Well done, Oakley! 💜

Got a puppy? Let’s get those foundations right from the start!

Our Puppy Academy Level 1 is welcoming a new group, and we’d love you to join us!

Puppies are brilliant, aren’t they? But between the excitement, the biting, the pulling and the sudden selective hearing, there’s a LOT to learn!

That’s where we come in.

Our 6-week Academy isn’t just about teaching your puppy to sit. It’s about helping you understand your puppy and building the skills you’ll both need in everyday life.

We’ll be working on:

* Engagement and focus around distractions
* Recall and loose lead walking
* Confidence and appropriate socialisation
* Calmness, patience and impulse control
* Everyday manners and making better choices

Real-life training, with realistic expectations.

Our sessions are friendly, supportive and completely judgement free. No previous training needed, no pressure to have a perfectly behaved puppy. We’ll build those foundations together!

And the learning doesn’t have to stop there, with opportunities to progress through our Level 2 and Level 3 Academies as your dog develops.

NEW COURSE STARTING!

Saturday 7th November
1.20pm – 2.05pm
Bradshaws Bark Park, Burntwood
6-week course | £120

Small groups, plenty of guidance and support throughout.

Is this a dog training class or the world’s most polite queue?

Now imagine you’re standing in that queue with your dog…

What’s the ONE thing your dog would find hardest about waiting their turn?

The other dogs? Standing still? Keeping all four paws on the floor? Or simply minding their own business?

Come on, let’s hear it! 💜

A huge WELL DONE to all our Academy graduates from the weekend! 💜

It’s been lovely seeing our Level 1 and Level 2 dogs and owners grow in confidence, build their skills and work together.

Level 1, you’re ready for Level 2, and Level 2, it’s time for the next challenge in Level 3! 😂

Training doesn’t stop here, there’s always another layer to build.

Thank you all for your hard work, commitment and for trusting us with your training journey.

Be proud of yourselves and your dogs! 💜

Just Pippa and me hiding from Meg… except Pippa hasn’t quite mastered the art of keeping still! 😂

Honestly, the silly little games we get up to with these two! Sometimes it’s just about having a laugh and enjoying your dogs. 💜
