The Co-CEO has made his second debut! He is a rather handsome boy (but I am bias)

In all seriousness, I could not reccomend The Raw Pet Deli enough! Highly knowledgeable within the canine field in regards to food/treats ect, friendly and she’s just all round amazing! She’s been Pandas food supplier for a long while now and the treat provider for Walks and Wags!

Over the past few months, we’ve sadly had two very special pups cross over the rainbow bridge. 🌈🐾

I won’t name them, out of respect for their families, but I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge just how deeply special they were to me, and to the whole Walks & Wags team — Panda & I. ❤️

I don’t think anyone quite prepares you for the bond you build when your job involves caring for someone else’s furry family members. They become part of your routine, part of your life, and before you know it, you love them as if they were your own. 🥺🐶

They will be so incredibly missed, but I find comfort in knowing they were loved, they were cared for, and they are now at peace. 🌈❤️

☀️PART ONE 🐾

☀️WHY heat and the sun is such an issue for dogs

And no it’s not just because some dogs are carrying around a 15 tog duvet in fur ( although that doesn’t help)

⚠️Did you know that a dogs body temperature is higher than us humans to start with !

⚠️ Dogs normal body temperature ranges from 38.3° C to 39.2° C This is noticeably warmer than the human average of 36- 37° C

So just because you may feel ok your dog is already 2-4 C higher

‼️Now here is the really scary bit ‼️

Heat stroke in dogs is a body temp of 40° C
Organ Failure is 41 and above !

🧮 I will let you do the maths to understand your window of your dog being ok to not being ok is incredibly small
