Josh. Beauceron.

Cat chaser. Dog heavyweight champion of the world. The kind of dog most people cross the road to avoid.

Not a bad dog. A dog with no communication system and nothing telling him that wasn't the thing to do.

Now off lead in the places they actually walk. Passing cats without dragging his owner to the floor. Living the life a Beauceron should be living.

Digger used to be pushy, ignorant, boisterous and constantly nicking things.

But he was never a bad dog.

He just hadn't been shown the right system. And his owners were ready to put the work in once they had it.

They showed up. Stayed consistent. Did the work between sessions.

Now Digger has recall built from scratch. Walks calmly alongside their newborn. Settles when nothing's going on. Passes cows on lead. Off lead around other dogs without pestering them.

The biggest win?
He doesn't have to be excluded from family days out, walks, pubs, or events anymore. He just gets to be part of their life.

Real pleasure working with this family and watching the effort pay off.

Things dog owners should never say.

"It's okay he's friendly." "Can they say hello?" "He'll grow out of it." "He comes back when he wants." "He only gets lead walks." "We medicate him - the behaviourist said to."

Every single one of these keeps a dog stuck.
Not because the owner doesn't care. Because nobody's shown them what's actually going on or given them a system to fix it.

That's the gap. That's what we fill.

Bertie. Dalmatian.
Running up to people and rounding them up. Barking and edgy at anyone who came to the house. Charging at every dog he saw off lead. Big dog. Big energy. And his owner had stopped enjoying walks altogether.

Four sessions later - recall that actually works, walking by her side without pulling, and the confidence to carry on building on it herself.

We dont just train the dog. We give the owner the tools to keep going when the sessions are done.

Massive credit to Sarah for doing the work.

No dog has ever died from missing a walk.
Plenty have died from doing one in the wrong conditions.

Use your brain so he doesn't have to.

"I've tried everything and nothing works."

I hear this every week. And every time I already know what they haven't tried.

They've tried trainers. But the trainer trained their dog, not them. So the results stayed with the trainer.

They've tried treats. But the dog is already paid before they've even left the house. Treats mean nothing outside.

They've tried being patient. But patience without a system is just waiting for things to get worse.

What they haven't tried is the right system. With them in it. Doing the work. Building the value. Holding the boundary.

That's the difference.

One thing you can do today. For free.

Put the bowl away. Every kibble your dog eats today they earn it. Through engagement. Through working with you.
Do that for a week and tell me your dog's the same.

Betty. Cocker Spaniel. Training to become a school therapy dog.

Reactive to light and shadows. Couldn't switch off. Every reflection, every flicker on the floor - gone.

Her owner had already spent a lot of money on a behaviourist who suggested Betty might be in pain.

Possibly needed X-rays. Maybe even surgery.
It wasn't a pain problem. It was a training problem.

We put a system in place to stop it completely. A communication system, an off switch, and value in her owner that means more than any shadow on the floor.

By the final session - loose lead, off lead recall past distractions, walking calmly past other dogs, and choosing to leave a shadow alone.

From chasing lights to working with children in schools.
That's the Reset.

Ruby. Teckel.
If you know you already know what we were working with.

Bred to fight badgers underground. Fearless, stubborn, and with a bark that doesn't stop.

Ruby was reactive to other dogs, chasing runners, nipping at heels, and had virtually no recall. Walks were something her owner dreaded.

Not a bad dog. A Teckel doing exactly what Teckels are built to do, with nobody having shown her owner how to manage it.

She now walks to heel, ignores runners, passes other dogs calmly, and her owner actually enjoys taking her out.

Ruby's owner is moving house soon. We'll be back out to proof the training in the new environment. Because that's how it's done properly.

The breed doesn't get to be the excuse. It just means you need the right system.
