Last week, the clinical team came together for CPD exploring the effects of electrolyte disturbances, specifically high potassium levels, while patients are under general anaesthesia.

These CPD events help ensure our team continues to grow, develop and stay up to date with the latest knowledge and best practices in veterinary care.

A big thank you to Emma, our cardiology certificate holder, for sharing her expertise and hosting such a fantastic session. 👏

📢 Blantyre Practice - Early Closing Today (Wednesday 2nd September) 📢

Please note that our Blantyre practice will be closing earlier than usual this Wednesday (2nd September). We will close at 5:30pm instead of 7pm.

If your pet requires an appointment, medication or if you have any queries please contact the practice as early as possible so then our team can help you before they close.

🐾 Meet Our Patients - Neeps 🐾

How adorable is Neeps? 😍This gorgeous pup popped into our Queen Margaret Drive Branch recently for a weight and wellness check, and its safe to say he brightened everyone's days with that happy smile! 🐶✨

Regular weight checks are a simple but important way to keep your pet healthy. Maintaining an ideal weight can help reduce the risk of health problems, improve mobility and support a longer, happier life.

Well done Neeps, you were an absolute star! ⭐🤩❤️

5-year-old Sam is back to his usual antics after making a fantastic recovery from partial tarsal arthrodesis surgery, performed to stabilise instability of the small joints of his ankle. 🎉

This type of injury commonly happens when dogs catch their foot while running, leading to ligament damage or small fractures where the ligaments attach around the ankle. 🐕

The resulting instability can look quite dramatic on X-rays! 🩻

The good news is that these injuries often have an excellent prognosis following surgical fusion of the affected joints using a plate and bone graft. 🦴✨

We're delighted to report that Sam has recovered brilliantly and is now back doing what he loves most... running around on his favourite beach! 🌊🐾☀️
