Leigh Sutherland Dog Training

25/10/2026

I was in the beautiful foothills today, working with a delightful little dog.

He’s up for anything and did so well with the training. That kind of enthusiasm is contagious!🥰

These two have been so much fun to work with!

They have very different personalities, which keeps things interesting.😁

I love watching human-canine relationships that truly appreciate each dog as an individual and meet their unique needs…and everybody gets to enjoy each other for who they really are.❤️

What could be better?🙂

Wren LOVES to roll in the grass!

This morning, we went out, JUST so that she could do this.❤️

Last night, I watched the cutest little Maltese-x girl blossom in confidence throughout our session.

Gaining confidence changes our experience of the world in a wonderful way, and I’m so excited for her (and her people).🥰

If you’re interested in doing therapy dog work, but know that your dog needs some training first…that’s what I’m here for!🙂

This is a great organization and growing demand means that they need even more therapy dogs.

What a great goal for you and your dog!

Community Therapy Dogs Society is celebrating their volunteers this weekend, and I’m so pleased to give them some Mungo’s Snuffle Mats, dog toys & keychains to thank them for what they do!🥰

If you’re in the Calgary area, they’re looking for more therapy dog volunteers! This is a wonderful way to make a difference in your community.🙂

Sunday was a perfect day for the Terry Fox Run!

I am so thankful to all of you who supported my run. I was honoured to run in the names of your loved ones.

This is a meaningful and emotional day for me, and I’m so proud that you helped me to raise $1680 for cancer research! That’s amazing!!!

Thank you!
❤️

You’re not too late if you’d still like to donate!🙂

I’ll be running the Terry Fox Run this Sunday and would be grateful for your support to reach my fund-raising goal.

I raised $1345 for cancer research last year - the most that I’ve ever raised - and have now raised $610 of my $1000 goal for this year.

I would be honoured to run in the name of somebody you love. Please let me know, so that I can carry their name with me on Sunday.

Thank you!
Leigh

We’re less than two weeks away from this year’s Terry Fox Run, and it would mean the world to me to have your support behind me as I run.

Last year, you helped me to raise the most that my run has ever done ($1345!). Wow!

Running is something that I can do to make a difference and you’re helping me to make it really mean something.

I now have friends and family members who are benefitting from some amazing cancer research, much of which is taking place in Canada right now.

The ideas and the results are so incredible, and I've become fascinated with the details of the work that's being done. Not only is there growing success in cancer treatment, but some of the results are being applied to other diseases and conditions, which highlights how collaborative research can be.

I'll be running in the name of my beautiful friend, Aileen, and my mum's dear friend, Ann; for Patrick, Greg, John, Mike, Kristin, Mena, Julia, Anthony and so many more; and in the names of those who have chosen to keep their journeys private for now.

Please let me know if I can run in the name of somebody you love.

I'm so grateful for your support to help me raise funds to contribute to this research.

Thank you!❤️
Leigh

What a great week!

Each of my clients already had a great bond with their dogs. The fact that I’m watching that connection deepen even more, as they learn together, makes everything that I do incredibly worthwhile.

I love this!❤️
