Shallochmill P**i left for her new home this morning. By Jambarrie Luigi out of Shallochmill Haile(Kerswell Sprite) I swore I was going to keep this one but when a young lady approached me who is just starting up in the Shetland world and will be out at more shows than me it seemed the sensible thing to do to let her go.
This photo does her no justice but I’m sure her new owner will send me better ones to post later.
I can’t wait to see how P**i does in the ring. A lovely correct mover with attitude I wish her new owners the best of luck xx

What a busy week we’ve had at the Mill ! Nine mares and nine foals were loaded and brought home, all the mares had their feet done and wormed, some of the foals had their feet tidied then six mares and their babies went back to their usual grazing whilst the rest went to a different field and their foals stayed at home.
The foals left behind will now have a couple of weeks extra handling, leading and hard feed ready to go to their new homes
Here we have Shallochmill’s Mr Bond, Martini and P**i all tucking into breakfast, not bothered at all by their mums not being there.

This one is going to be a model when she grows up 😍😎Shallochmill P**i 😍

The final stallion, Luigi was taken from his girlfriends and back to his pals today. Screams, yells, plenty of galloping around and half an hour later they’re all good friends again.
This winter they have a new field to play in with plenty of shelter, little paths everywhere and a sea view.
For the past few years they lived half an hour from home with a lovely couple, Jim and Rosemary who took an interest in them, knew them all by name and thoroughly enjoyed keeping an eye on them. Sadly the time came for them to downsize, sell the farm and move into town but I’ll always be grateful for the years my ponies ran there.
Now only 1 mile from home I get to play with them every day and they also have some new humans to play with. Happy boys x

Deposit taken 💥 I bought this little girl at Worcester last year because I liked her bloodlines, type and of course colour but unfortunately her bottom teeth are just a little in front of her top teeth. It’s not bad, it’s improving all the time and judges wouldn’t notice but when I’ve now decided to keep two homebred fillies this year (oops 🙈) I feel she has to look for a new 🏡
Twice she’s been viewed, deposits paid then the buyers have pulled out due to no fault of hers so for this reason she is a lot less ££ than she would’ve been.
She’s a yearling, friendly, easy to catch, straight, wormed, feet trimmed, fully registered, standing at 31.5 now and just a happy wee girl.
She is good enough to show, breed, pet, companion, etc but a good home is always a priority.
So if anyone is looking………..

I decided to retain two colts for myself this year, one being by my now retired boy Kerswell Sprite and the other by a stallion who is now with another stud, Timberland Limited Edition.
I know the sires are clear of SA(skeletal atavism), a gene that can produce deformities/dwarfism but I had never tested any mares.
I’m happy to report that all three girls I chose to test came back clear.
By doing this it now mean Shallochmill’s Squirrel, Rhonan, Rolex, Hokey Cokey, Charlotte, Ruadh, Orianna and Mirrie are also clear by parentage.
I do plan to test more mares but if any of my girls are carriers they’re staying and their offspring can be tested if required.

Five babies, and their mums, brought home from their summer grazing for a night, headcollars on for the first time, wormed again, chipped, passported then loaded up and taken back all single handedly. Easy peasy 💪🏼
