So, time to properly introduce my new venture! 🐴
After a wonderful 22 years working for Martin Jones on a breaking and pre-training yard, predominantly with racehorses, it felt like the right time to carve my own path.
I have recently taken on a small yard in the most wonderful setting, where I will be offering individual, bespoke livery for training and rehabilitation.
My philosophy is simple: a happy, healthy horse is a willing horse. By giving the best to our horses, they can give their best back to us and to our sport, whatever the discipline.
Alongside the yard, I have also trained and qualified as a bit fitter.
Whilst backing and producing horses, I quickly realised just how much difference the right bit can make to a horse’s comfort, way of going and overall performance. This has led me to believe that correct bit fit is just as important as correct saddle fit, and deserves the same level of attention and consideration.
Alongside the business, I continue to event my own horses and have enjoyed plenty of success over the years, particularly with ex-racehorses. My passion for eventing began whilst working for Olympic gold medallist Leslie Law, and I also studied for and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science.
I’m incredibly excited to be starting this next chapter and combining the experience I’ve gained throughout my career with my passion for producing, rehabilitating and helping horses to perform at their best.
