😊 A little throwback to Stanley’s stay with us 🎥 🐾

🐶❤️ One little visit, lots of new experiences for Stanley!

Our young guest did really well during his first little stay with us! 🥰 He had a few little whimpers when his lovely owner left, but we soon got him interested in some toys, tasty treats and a few cuddles along the way. 🧸🦴❤️

We also enjoyed a gentle stroll around our local park, where Stanley could stretch his little legs and explore the world through his nose. 🌳🐾 So many new smells to investigate!

These little visits are all about giving young dogs the time and space to become familiar with a new home, new people and a different routine, without rushing things. Every dog has their own pace, and we let them find their paws in their own time. ❤️

🌙 Next up for Stanley: his very first sleepover with us! 🐾 We're looking forward to seeing how he gets on with his next little adventure! 🥰

This morning, our little visitor Stanley is coming back for a couple of hours! 🐶🏡❤️ Today, he gets to explore a little more of our home, spend time with our family and hopefully feel a little more at ease in his surroundings. Getting to know a new place takes time, so we're letting Stanley discover it at his own pace. 🐾😊

🐾 Another adaptation day at Anna’s Happy Paws! 🐶🐶

Today, Kodi and Pedro spent a few hours together at my house as part of their preparation for a potential joint summer stay next year. ☀️

The boys did pretty well, although I have to admit that Kodi seems to be a little jealous when it comes to sharing my attention! 😂 Every time I sit on the sofa, he squeezes himself onto my lap, giving Pedro a rather disapproving look, even though Pedro needs cuddles too! 😄❤️

Apart from that, they're getting along reasonably well, keeping things fairly calm and friendly, which is really encouraging! 🐾

These little adaptation sessions are so important. They give the dogs time to get to know each other at their own pace, helping them feel more comfortable before spending a longer period together. ❤️🐶

One step at a time, boys! 🐾💕

An exciting weekend is coming up! ✨🐾

Kodi & Pedro are back for another important step in their adaptation journey! 💙 This time, the boys will spend a few hours at our home without their owners, giving them the chance to get more comfortable with each other and with their new surroundings. 🏡🐶🐶

As I mentioned before, taking things slowly and giving dogs time to adjust is such an important part of helping them feel safe and confident.

I honestly can’t wait to see how they get on! 🥰🐾 Let’s see what the boys think of their next little adventure together! 💙

🐾 A little first step for Stanley! 🐾

Today we had a lovely meet & greet with Stanley and his owners. He’s a gorgeous, energetic and playful young boy — and that incredibly soft, fluffy coat certainly makes him hard to resist! ☁️🐶

Stanley is also a little cautious when faced with new surroundings, so we’re taking things slowly and giving him the chance to build confidence at his own pace.

Our next step will be a short independent visit here next week, for a couple of hours without his owners. It will give Stanley another opportunity to experience our home in a calm, familiar way and, most importantly, let us see how he feels when he’s here on his own. 🏡🐾

Every dog is different, and sometimes it takes a few small steps to discover what works best for them. ❤️

Keep your fingers crossed that our fluffy boy has a lovely settling-in session next week! 🤞🐶

Today was all about getting Kodi & Pedro to know each other — and I’m very happy to say their first meeting went brilliantly! 🐾💙

We started at the park, giving the boys a chance to meet in a neutral outdoor space and get comfortable with each other. From there, we came back to our garden before eventually letting them explore the house together.

And they did absolutely brilliantly! 😊

We’re not stopping there, though. The boys will have another little practice session soon, this time without their owners — just me and the two of them. It will give them another calm opportunity to spend time together and get used to being in the same environment.

I believe introducing dogs from different homes gradually is such an important part of boarding. I love taking things in small, gentle steps, giving each dog the time and space they need to feel comfortable rather than rushing the process.

For me, it’s all about making sure that when the boys come to stay at Anna’s Happy Paws 🐾, they already feel familiar with the environment and with each other — helping everyone settle in as happily and calmly as possible. ❤️

A fantastic first step for Kodi & Pedro, and I’m looking forward to seeing the boys again! 🐶🐶
