Today is all about celebrating the four-legged friends who make life better just by being in it.

From zoomies and sniffari adventures to muddy paws, happy faces and those moments when they simply stop and take it all in, we love seeing your dogs enjoying Archie’s Acres.

Every dog deserves somewhere safe to run, sniff, explore and just be a dog.

So today, give your favourite four-legged friend an extra treat, an extra cuddle and, if they’re lucky, an extra adventure too!

Here’s to all the dogs who bring so much joy into our lives. ❤️🐶

It’s been a little while since we’ve popped up on your feed, so we thought it was about time we said hello! 🐾

Archie’s Dog Acres has been busy behind the scenes, even if we haven’t been quite so busy on social media. The field is still here, the views are still gorgeous, the grass is growing at an impressive rate and the dogs are still having the best time doing what dogs do best.

Sniffing. Exploring. Running. Rolling. And generally forgetting all about the humans for an hour! 😂

For those who haven’t visited us yet, Archie’s Dog Acres is our 5-acre dog field in Braehead, Lanark with plenty of space to run, sniff and explore in your own time.

And for all our regulars, thank you for continuingwith your visits. We love seeing the photos and hearing how much your dogs enjoy their visits.

Can you help us find the owner of this male springer spaniel?

He was found near Tinto Hill carpark in the early hours of this morning.

Chipped but details of owner not available.

He’s being looked after by vets while we try to trace his owner.

Today Luna put our brand new see-saw to the test, and she absolutely nailed it!

With the Germans providing plenty of encouragement (and moral support from the sidelines!) It’s always lovely to watch dogs work things out in their own time and celebrate those little wins.

We have also added some new agility jumps.

These moments are exactly what Archie’s Acres is all about. Building confidence, having fun, making friends, and giving dogs the freedom to learn, play and simply enjoy being dogs.

A little reminder to help keep Archie’s Dog Acres enjoyable for everyone. 🐾

Before you set off, please take a moment to check your booking confirmation or reminder email. It includes your booking date, time and all the information you need for your visit. Double checking before you travel helps avoid any mix-ups.

While you’re with us, we’d really appreciate it if you could:
• Pick up after your dog(s) and use the bins provided.
• Take home anything you bring with you, including balls, toys, treats and other belongings.
• Leave the field just as you’d like to find it for the next visitor.

These small things make a big difference and help us keep Archie’s Dog Acres clean, safe and ready for every dog and human to enjoy.

Did you know you can make a proper dog-friendly getaway of your visit to Archie’s Acres? 🐾

Lucy recently stayed at our Airbnb, The Annexe at Beeches Farm, and her review made our day. She booked Archie’s twice during her stay and said she went home with “two very happy, tired dogs!”

After plenty of sniffing, running, exploring and making the most of all that safe open space… sometimes the only thing left to do is flop in the grass and have a well-earned rest! 😂🐶

After a lot of “discussion” (mainly with the dogs… they were very vocal), we’re excited to announce a brand new feature launching this month…

🎾 SELF-THROWING TENNIS BALLS 🎾

That’s right. No more sore arms. No more half-hearted throws after your third coffee.

Our new smart balls will:
✔️ Launch themselves
✔️ Adjust to your dog’s speed (yes, even that one)
✔️ Occasionally ignore your dog completely… just to keep things interesting

We’ve also installed a “Mud Preference Setting” so your dog can choose just how filthy they’d like to get.

Trial sessions start today… if you can catch one.
