Pebbles and Bam Bam were in this week for their monthly physio sessions - and a little sibling catch-up🐶🐱

We first met Pebbles🐶, our lovely Rhodesian Ridgeback in 2021 following cruciate repair surgery and she had been coming for maintenance ever since.

More recently, her brother Bam Bam 🐱 has been joining us for physio too after being diagnosed with a rare spinal condition called *Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis* with only a few cases ever being reported in cats.

🔍 Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis
This is a condition which causes ligaments and tendons connected to the bone to harden and turn into bone leading to restricted movement of the spine. There is no treatment but physio, pain relief and changes to the home environment can help manage this unique condition.

Pebbles doesn’t seem to mind sharing her sessions and Bam Bam doesn’t mind waiting for his turn🥰

Meet the lovely Bella💖

Bella is always an absolute angel to treat and has been making some lovely progress with her physio following a cruciate injury 🥰

Her brother Charlie always comes along too, strictly for the cuddles and to keep us entertained with his cheeky antics!

These two are such a cute duo and have quickly become firm favourites in the clinic!🐾

Meet the gorgeous Ella💜

Ella was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at just one year old.

🔍 Hip dysplasia is a developmental condition where the ball and socket of the hip joint don’t fit together properly, causing instability, discomfort, and abnormal wear on the joint.

➡️ Over time, this can lead to stiffness, reduced mobility, an abnormal gait, muscle loss and the development of osteoarthritis.

The good news?✨
With the right management - including physiotherapy, appropriate exercise, weight management, and pain relief where needed - dogs with hip dysplasia can continue to enjoy happy, active, and comfortable lives!🐶

𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐲-𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐁𝐒𝐜(𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐬), 𝐏𝐆𝐃𝐢𝐩, 𝐌𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐏 is a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist and Hydrotherapist, with over eight years of experience helping dogs improve their mobility, comfort, and quality of life.

She has a particular passion for supporting arthritic patients, with a strong focus on promoting early intervention to help maintain mobility, manage pain, and improve long-term wellbeing.

DATE: Thursday 25th of June only
TIME: 10am - 3pm (15-20minute slots)
This event is for dogs only this time (cats need more time to settle into an assessment)
