Last year, we had the incredible privilege of helping transport two of the world’s rarest frog species, the Afia Birago’s Puddle Frog and the Atewa Slippery Frog.

Working in partnership with H**p Conservation Ghana and the Forest Research Institute of Ghana, these frogs were safely transported to London Zoo as part of vital conservation efforts. Native only to Ghana’s Atewa Hills Forest Reserve, both species are under serious threat due to human-driven habitat destruction.

We’re proud to play a small part in supporting the future of these unique amphibians and the ongoing work to help their populations recover.
