A lot of them fade within a few days too. Winter clips aren’t the neatest usually. Clean ponies in spring seasons are much easier 💕

😱 Let's lose our our minds over CLIPPING LINES 😱

RELAX, take a chill pill.....the world doesn't end!

So if you struggle with lines, don't beat yourself up over it, especially in Winter!

Let me explain WHY!

Here is just a few possible reasons you may get lines. It may not be one single reason, it could be a mixture of reasons!

1. Everyone's fave: Dirty horse (duh)
2. Waxy horse (ie. usually coloured cobs)
3. Fat horse 🐖 (YES, 1 inch of blubber all over the horse causes the blades to sink in slightly with very little pressure, so every overlapping stroke can vary slightly
4.Winter coat density (think of skimming across your grass every couple of weeks with the mower VS trying to get through a jungle of grass that hasnt been cut in months, and burning out the belts on the mower because there is too much resistance!
5.White hair on pink skin (notorious!)
6.Fine skinned sensitive horses can get a thing called skin writing, the slightest pressure can cause their skin to raise, giving the appearance of tram lines/missed hair
7.Dulling blades-not EVERY single horse gets a fresh brand new set of blades, or we would be bankrupt! So we have lots of spares sharpened
8.worn or broken clipper springs
9.worn tension spring
10.worn blade carriage head
11.Missing comb cushion grommet
12.worn drive cog
13. Grey/white horses (common difficult coat, but not as difficult as a pink skinned horse. Connie coats are tricky!)

You can then go through the fun of figuring out which problem is the culprit. Like I said, it could be a mixture of the above problems! 🤯

Wanna clip for a living? It ain't all fun!

I'm sure I could think of more, but I'm tired and have to clean all my kit!

SOOOO, how about instead of beating yourself up about your clip , or bitching about another's clip.........just RELAX, and BE KIND!
