This weather is beautiful but it's too warm to groom dogs safely today sooo caught up with some of the photos of July.

July was a busy month getting everyone ready for the extended summer heatwave.

We had so many wonderful pups as always.

Doris is the most chilled pup ever. Sleeps through the drying. Chills through the line brushing. Can't even be bothered to lift her head while I do some scissor work on her legs too.

Alot of the pups ready for the summer holidays.

Forrests photos with thank from her wonderful mum. He's bonkers but we love him that way 99% of the time hehe.

Roxie Roo didn't even recieve the spa treatment as its been too hot to give her a bath on a Saturday afternoon so one morning on my day off we went over to the spa for a nail trim and brush out. That was less then 5 minutes of brushing. Its the German Shepherd in her. They always say groomers slack on thier own dogs. Well I definitely did this month. Whoops haha. Hopefully Monday when it cooler I'll be able to get her in spa for a good bath and deshed.

I apologise I haven't uploaded in a few months. What a busy few months I have had tho. Some of the wonderful pups I've groomed.

Bumble and Winnie all ready for the summer.

Charlie won't ever stop wagging his tail.

Eric's the bravest boy and lies down through the drying process.

Gordon's so relaxed he will lie down and enjoy a snooze. Couldn't help but include his fluff dried head and then coat colour change when you have shaved one side and turn the dog round to do the other.

Wilson was nervous of the dryer when I first started him. Now since building Wilsons confidence he's a much happier boy and lies down throughout his drying.

Dottie my little cuddle bug. She runs into the trailer sooooo excited to see me. She's improved with having her legs scissored and her face. Will she ever be one of those dogs who accept the grooming process fully. No maybe not. Have we come to a understanding of what works for Dottie. Yes and she improves each time.

Roxy and Troy both relaxed for a nice spa day and they had a nice summer cut to help them through this heat.

Winstons confidence is improving each time with the dryer. But rather then stress him out fully if he goes home a bit damp it's not a problem.

Teddy and Obie had a little trim to keep them cooler in this summer.

Sometimes with the weather grooming processes can change to keep the pups happy and cool. Teddy recieved a full haircut before the cooler bath and was left a little damp on a hot day.

Second Roxy had a nice trim to keep her cooler in this heat and all ready for her holiday.

Forrest had a nice deshed, brush through and slight trimming of the feet. He did sooooo well. Still bonkers tho and trying to catapult himself to the door when someone walked past.

My very own Roxie Roo recieved her first mud bath. It uses a mango butter which acts as a emollient to help grip and slide the loose hair out. It's also so good for the coat and skin.

Soon I will be offering mud baths to the th clients it could benefit the dog for.

Happy Fathers day to all the amazing fathers out there.

Whose dog is a water dog?? Roxie 100% is 🤣🤣 she was crying in the kitchen while I repaired and filled the swimming pool.

Be safe this week with all your pups. Its going to a scorcher.

I've already rearranged the dogs this weeks because of the weather to keep the pups and myself safe and cool.

I've been to Crufts for years but this was my first time to Groomfest Educational day. What a fantastic day its been.

The thing about the grooming world is there are so many brilliant groomers and so many different techniques for grooming there is always something new to learn. Here's just a few photos of some of the amazing dog grooms I watched and learned from.

The handstips of the terriers. As you can see the Jack Russell was falling asleep on the table he was so relaxed.

The Bichon Frise in full show coat.

The Poodles and the different trims.

We had the creative work where only pet safe dye was used and these dogs absolutely love being pampered. I don't think I will ever be that creative but it fascinates me the work put into these grooms.

Then of course they had a groomers shopping area where I stocked up on some bits to try in the spa. Can't wait to try the mud bath on Roxie Roo.

Something a bit different but this weekend was another great day at Goodwoof and two fully tired out pups after spending Saturday up there. My dad trying to get the dogs to both look the same way for a picture was entertaining. Roxie always has to stick out her tongue and Truffles is just like hurry up and give me the treat haha.

The dogs enjoyed some truffle hunting, some gundog retrieving, a splash in the le shuttle doggy pool, trying out a couple of the Barkitcuture beds and grabbed some free lickimats.

Roxie wasn't a fan of being on the floor of the bus and decided to launch herself on to mine and my dad's laps. She's 35kg. She's not a lapdog but the stones smashing against the bottom of the bus was too much for her.

I will upload some pup grooms soon.

Forrest having a dryer break and some play during his grooming session. He's the sweetest and I honestly don't think he tail stopped wagging.

Also yes the grooming loop is over one shoulder under one arm as he was was trying to get to the treats too much and I didn't want him to keep pulling on his neck. Something I do with a lot of my dogs to be more comfortable for them.

Gordon and Erics evidence they are happy to come into the spa after a groom of thier own free will. Such sweet boys. Just not happy leaving mum or dad at the beginning. They are well trained but they are also in thier secure garden so no worries of them disappearing. They are wonderful.

This sweet beautiful boy is Forrest. He had his first full groom with me and needed a good deshed and paws and pads tidy.

For his first time he was a superchamp. He wasn't worried about having a bath, the dryer, his nails being done. He's one sweet boy and loved all the love and affection. He had one minute of mad puppy play on the table when we had a little break during the drying to keep him happy and for it to be a positive experience. I'll share that video in a minute of him having a wonderful time. He was a pleasure to have and look forward to seeing him again soon for his next groom.
