🌈 Kaysie 🌈
“Catlor Lady Tinkerbell at Trinkaurity”
I am heartbroken to say goodbye to a very special little lady. Kaysie was never simply a dog who shared my home. She was a huge personality wrapped up in a little Cocker Spaniel body…loyal, affectionate, funny, wonderfully sassy and always completely sure of her own mind!
She loved deeply and gave affection so freely, but she also had that unmistakable spaniel sass that could make me laugh with nothing more than a look. She knew exactly what she wanted, exactly what she didn’t, and never felt the slightest need to keep either opinion to herself! But her true loving core just resonated with the most extraordinary sensitivity and intuitive awareness of those around her.
She was my children’s absolute rock. Somehow, without ever being taught, she learnt exactly when my son needed her. She knew when to quietly offer comfort, when to stay close, and when my son needed the grounding reassurance of deep pressure. It was never a trained behaviour. It was simply something she seemed to understand intuitively, and the bond between them was incredibly special.
She was there for me too, always through some of the most difficult moments of my life. A constant, familiar presence through change, heartbreak, worry and everything in between. She became such a treasured part of my beautiful family that it is almost impossible to imagine our story without her woven through it.
And then there was winter. 🤍❄️ Give our Queen Kaysie a frosty morning or a covering of snow and she was completely in her element!!
She adored rolling in it, wriggling around with pure joy as though being cold, damp and completely ridiculous was the greatest thing life had ever invented!!! She would push her nose along the frosty ground time and again! It was absolutely hilarious to watch!
Those are the memories I want to hold onto. My Happy…Sassy…Affectionate….Intuitive…& Deeply loved frost rolling little Queen!
Kaysie leaves behind the most beautiful legacy. She was a Mama, a Nanna and Great-Nanna to so many wonderful puppers, and through them her story continues in families far beyond my own. So many beautiful puppies, then puppies of those puppies, have gone on to bring companionship, laughter, comfort and love into other homes. There are families whose lives have been touched by Kaysie who may never fully realise just how much of their dog’s story began with her. 🩷
Not only this but Kaysie has brought some of the most incredible friendships into my life and I can never be more grateful to her precious little soul for this. That all feels like an extraordinary legacy for one very special little Cocker Spaniel!!
She has been part of the heart of Trinkaurity for so long, and her pawprints run through more of its story than anyone will ever really know. Our beloved beautiful Queen, there will never be another quite like her.
Until we meet again, sleep peacefully my beautiful girl. I hope wherever you fly free to, there will be an endless frosty meadow just waiting for you to roll in!! ❄️🌈🤍🌈♥️🐾
