Hello 👋

Hope you are all doing okay.

I am back from Florida and settling back into Uk time 😴

My first day back at work is Wednesday 2nd September.

I’ll look forward to seeing all my Dogs then ❤️🥰🐾

Hope they have all been good 😊

🥵Here we go again 🥵

The hot weather strikes again.. high heat and high humidity, the thing dog walkers dread 🤯

I for one am over these silly temperatures.

You dogs safety is always my number priority so with increased temperatures this means having to start super early, which doesn’t always suit everyone, shorter walks if the temperatures rise quicker than we thought they would and trying to rearrange walks, visits and days if and where we can.

This is not a jolly for us dog walkers at all, we would all much rather be walking your dogs at there regular times, letting them play and having the best times with their friends.

To all you dog walkers that are making your dogs safety the priority and taking the hit yourself, you are amazing and exactly what dog walkers should be doing ❤️🐾❤️

To all my owners, thank you for your continued support through these heat waves and your understanding when things have to change, I appreciate you ❤️

Let’s hope for cooler weather so we can continue our amazing jobs and your dogs can continue having the best walks with there friends ❤️

🥵 SUPER HOT THIS WEEK 🥵

I am sure you have seen the weather for this week, it’s going to be super hot, too hot for normal walks.

I am planning to start walks early so I can fit in as many of my dogs as I can but to do this I will need to stay early which I appreciate doesn’t work for everyone.

Everyone has been contacted regarding this.

Group walks may be cut short if the temperatures rise quicker than expected.

All walks will be in the woods where it will be cooler by a couple of degrees.

If any one would like to cancel please just let me know.

Hey everyone,

Next weeks temperatures look to be super high, wonderful for some but definitely not for dogs.

I’ll take each day as it comes as we know the British weather forcaste can often be wrong or change, however, walks may be earlier.

I will message everyone the day before regarding there dogs walks, if I need to make pick ups earlier or cancel walks.

If the temperature rises quickly while out I will shorten the walk.

The van has a separate air con unit in the back and individual crate fans.

Fresh water goes without saying always anyway.

I will keep all owners updated with any changes as the days approach.

If you would rather your dog not go on their walk please just let know.

Your dogs safety will always be my number one priority ❤️🐾❤️

Hi 👋

I'm Kayleigh the owner of K9 Pet Services 🐾

With lots of new followers I thought I would do a little post to introduce myself 😊

I am a mum to two beautiful children, Jimmy aged 10 and Jessie age 7. They both often join me on my walks in the school holidays which all my walking dogs absolutely love ❤️🐾

After leaving school I gained a National Diploma in Animal Management followed by a BSc Animal Science Degree. My dream was to become a Vet but unfortunately I didn’t get a place at Vet School.

As a teenager I had three different jobs from the age of 13 through to leaving University, I worked as a Farm Hand on a Saturday, at a Kennels on a Sunday and 2 evenings a week I worked at a Vets Practice.

After gaining my BSc Hons Animal Science Degree I became a Ruminant Nutritionist and travelled around dairy and beef farms around Derbyshire 🐄 until I became pregnant with Jimmy, I was then lucky enough to be a full time mum until my Daughter Jessie started school 🏫

Around 2 and a half years ago I started K9 Pet Services and have honestly loved every single minute of it. Growing a small business can be challenging, I knew I wanted to provide the best and safest service for my clients and their wonderful dogs.

I have completed many CPD courses over the past couple of years including becoming a certified dog trainer, canine body language specialist and first aid instructor along with many more to ensure I can be the best I can be for all the dogs in my care.

In an unregulated profession I can pride myself on having not only a love of dogs but the knowledge and passion to put dogs safety and welfare first.

I absolutely love being the best Auntie to so many amazing dogs and watching them having fun and thriving in their group walks is just amazing 🐾

In my spare time I am either spending quality time with my family or we are all doing jobs around our own home. We are very lucky to live in the country with many of our own animals so there is always something that needs doing 🐴 🐕 🐢

Thankyou if you read this far 🤣🤣🤣 I genuinely feel so blessed to do what I do and am so grateful for all the love and support 🩷
