This rescue was set up to help the plight of pound dogs, these are dogs that are on 'death row' in UK pounds. This includes dogs that have been abandoned, surrendered or left to stray. Some have only 7 days to be reclaimed by their owners. If they are not, they are put to sleep. The enormous number of dogs, mainly staffies

on 'put to sleep lists' lead us to want to help these unfortunate family pets. Few people realise that many healthy dogs, through no fault of their own, are being destroyed if not claimed within the week. The name poundies
Poundies are dogs that are abused, dumped, abandoned; unwanted souls that find themselves with 7 days to live in, generally, appalling conditions. Named ‘poundies’ as these conditions are council pounds across the UK that are ‘home’ to these dogs awaiting their death. Many people are under the impression that a dog must be "bad" in some way to end up being dumped and in a council pound; have a look at the photos and updates of some of our available pound dogs in their foster homes and of our own dogs most of the volunteers that help this rescue have pound dogs living in their homes - proof that this is not always the case.

New toys all over the floor, party hat (rubbed off), cake crumbs all over the floor (dog friendly cake of course) it’s a dogs life!! She brings so much joy to our lives!! Three years of loving Saffie baby!

Fay is still very young and puppy-like, Fay loves to zoom around and gets excited when she sees other dogs. She’s such a sweet, happy girl with so much love to give.

Fay is starting to settling in well into her foster home, she can be over excited but with routine she is starting to calm down in the home.

It’s Skye’s 3rd birthday today 🥳💗 we’ve got lots of new toys & pup cakes so she’s a happy girl!

What a girl! She’s honestly the most chaotic, 100 miles per hour, silliest, loyal & most loving girl, she’s such a character, always makes us laugh! Wonder if 3 will be the year she behaves 💗🤣
