This lovely girl had her vaccinations today — all in the comfort of her own home. As you can see, she was calm, relaxed, and very happy throughout her visit ✨

🐾 With Easter coming, a little reminder to keep your pets safe

Some of our favourite treats and flowers can be harmful to dogs and cats — especially chocolate, raisins, lilies and xylitol.

Make sure to keep them safely out of reach over Easter.

If you’re ever unsure or worried your pet may have eaten something they shouldn’t, please contact your vet as soon as possible.

🐾 Stress-free blood pressure checks… from the comfort of home

We had the pleasure of seeing lovely Bonnie this week for her senior health check 🐱💛 During our visit, she also had her blood pressure checked in the comfort of her own home.

Did you know that blood pressure readings taken in the clinic can sometimes be falsely high due to stress? (We call it “white coat hypertension” — and it’s very common in cats!)

By measuring blood pressure at home, in a familiar and relaxed environment, we can get much more accurate results and a truer picture of your pet’s health.

Our home visit service allows us to:

Do you have an older dog or cat? 🐶🐱

One thing many owners don’t realise is that pets often hide signs of illness as they age. Conditions like kidney disease, thyroid problems, arthritis, or high blood pressure can develop very gradually, and pets may seem “just a bit slower” or “showing their age”.

Regular health checks can help pick up problems early, often before pets show obvious symptoms.

We’re a local mobile vet service – The Ealing Vet & The London House Vet – providing home visit appointments. Many senior pets find this much less stressful than travelling to a clinic, as everything is done in the comfort of their own home.

Senior health checks can include things like:

🐾 Kidney and thyroid screening
🐾 Weight and general health checks

We also help many older pets with arthritis management, including monthly arthritis injections given at home, which can make a huge difference to comfort and mobility for dogs and cats with joint pain.

Arthritis is very common in both dogs and cats, especially as they get older, but the signs can sometimes be subtle. If your pet seems stiff, reluctant to jump or play, or is showing changes in behaviour, it could be a sign of joint pain.
