Week 3 - Sunderland Puppy Class! 🐾✨
Our second puppy class of a Monday evening is now in full swing and it’s been lovely to see how much more comfortable our puppies are becoming in the class environment.
For some puppies, those first few sessions can be a lot to take in. New people, new dogs, new smells, new surroundings and lots of exciting things happening around them can make it difficult to focus and settle.
But we’re now really starting to see the group relax into their surroundings, and as their confidence grows, so does their ability to learn.
They are becoming more comfortable engaging with their owners, making good choices and working around the distractions of class.
We continued building on our settle and eye contact games we started in week one, we looked at impulse control and introducing the heel position, along with introduction to toy play.
It’s fantastic to see the foundations starting to come together, and the puppies are really beginning to show us what they can do when they feel comfortable and confident. 💕
The aim is to build strong, reliable skills ready for the coming weeks as the class gets more difficult, but I have no doubt our puppies and their guardians will do well.
A huge well done to all of our owners. The effort you're putting in between classes really does make a difference, and it’s fantastic to see the progress in the puppies. 👏
We can't wait to see how much more those foundations develop over the coming weeks! 🐶💕
