Day 6 of our Irish adventures with the babies 🐾🇮🇪

Today we decided to stay local in Limerick after lots of driving over the past few days, and to keep the doggies safe in the heat.

We discovered Knockfierna Mountain and its walking trail, which follows ancient routes and shares the history of the Irish Famine. The walk involved a 472ft ascent, but the toughest part was the final climb to the top. Anand carried both Winnie and Petrushka for that last stretch, and it was absolutely worth it—the views were stunning!

Afterwards, we drove around 20 minutes to the beautiful little town of Adare. Anand had done his research and found a few dog-friendly cafés, but The Poppy Cup stood out to us the most. It had such a cosy, quaint atmosphere, welcomed dogs, and served a healthy, delicious menu.

Anand enjoyed a mango smoothie bowl followed by a slice of lemon drizzle cake, while I had a club sandwich bagel. Everything was absolutely delicious and so filling! I also picked up a cute little water cup as a souvenir. 🥰

We’re almost at the end of our road trip now, with just one more overnight stop before we begin our journey home. We’ll catch up on all messages and enquiries as soon as we’re back.

Day 5 of our Irish adventures with the babies 🇮🇪🐾❤️

We started the day with a visit to Valentia Lighthouse. We were able to walk the doggies around the grounds (just not inside the lighthouse), and it was such a lovely way to begin the day before getting on the road to Tralee… or so we thought! 🤭

While driving the Ring of Kerry, we took a little detour to Rossbeigh Beach. It was so stunning that we decided to swap our plans for Tralee and enjoy a long beach walk instead. 🌊✨

If you’re visiting with dogs, the Blue Flag area near the lifeguards is off-limits between 11am–7pm during peak season, but the dog-friendly stretch of beach is incredibly long and just as beautiful, so it didn’t affect us at all.

Afterwards, we hit the road to Limerick and checked into Garrane House. What a gorgeous place! Beautiful grounds, horses, and even their own friendly dog. 🐴🐶

We then headed into Limerick city for some food and arrived just in time to see the celebrations after Limerick won the All-Ireland Hurling Championship. The atmosphere was amazing! 💚

We ate at , where the babies were absolutely spoiled with cuddles, lots of attention, and fresh water. 🥹🐾

Now it’s time for a well-earned rest.

Day 4 of our Irish adventure with the babies 🇮🇪🐾

Today we said goodbye to Cobh, Co. Cork, and headed into Cork City for a lovely wander around before getting back on the road towards Killarney.

One stop we were especially excited about was as we’d heard it was super dog-friendly—and it definitely lived up to the hype! 🐶 The babies had their very own menu to choose from, a designated dog-friendly area, and were absolutely spoiled. Meanwhile, us hoomans tucked into delicious local lamb burgers and fish & chips. 🍔🐟

After lunch, we hit the road again and made our way towards our stop for the night on Valentia Island. Of course, we couldn’t drive the Ring of Kerry without pulling over a few times to take in the breathtaking scenery—it really is as stunning as everyone says! 🌊⛰️

Now it’s time to unwind at Horizon View Lodge B&B, soaking up the sea views with the sun shining. What a perfect end to another amazing day. ☀️💙

Day 3 of our Irish adventure with the babies 🇮🇪🐾

Today was all about slowing down in beautiful Cobh, County Cork. A welcome break from driving and the perfect excuse to wander the colourful streets, eat, drink, and soak up the glorious sunshine.

Winnie travelled in her cooling backpack today. Because of her breed, anything above around 19°C can be a bit much for her breathing, so it kept her nice and comfortable while we explored. She was definitely the centre of attention everywhere we went! 🥹

We stopped for coffee, wine, and lunch at before heading back to our base at while it was still cool enough for the babies. The afternoon was spent relaxing with a few drinks in the shade—exactly what holiday days are made for.

A perfect, slower-paced day before we’re back on the road tomorrow, with Cork City, Killarney, and Di**le next on the adventure. ☘️💚

Day 2 of our Irish adventure with the babies! 🇮🇪🐾☀️

📍 This morning we left Wexford and headed to Waterford!

We enjoyed the most delicious lunch at the where Petrushka, Winnie and Athena were definitely the stars of the show! They were absolutely showered with attention and given bowls of water 😋 We were so impressed by just how dog-friendly Waterford is!

After a lovely couple of hours exploring, it was time to hit the road again.

Our next stop was 📍 Ardmore Cliff Walk, but just like yesterday, the temperatures were simply too high for a safe walk with the dogs. Their safety always comes first. We also discovered that Ardmore Bay isn’t dog-friendly between 11am and 7pm during peak season, so that’s something to bear in mind if you’re planning a visit with your four-legged friends.

After a quick stretch of the legs, we continued on to Cobh, where we’ll be spending the next couple of nights at the beautiful Robin Hill Heritage Accommodation.

Day 1 of our dog-friendly adventure around Ireland! 🐾🇮🇪

We started with a stop in Newry to spend some time with family and break up the journey before heading to Malahide, where we enjoyed a lovely stroll along the beach followed by lunch in the sunshine with the babies at a cafe called The Greenery☀️🐶the food was unreal 😋

Next, we made our way to Glendalough in Wicklow. We had hoped to explore the trails, but with the temperatures being so high, it simply wasn’t safe for the dogs. Their wellbeing always comes first, so we swapped the walk for a well-earned ice cream instead! 🍦❤️

We finished the day in Wexford, staying at the beautiful Lavender Lodge – a cosy, dog-friendly chalet with a secure enclosed garden, perfect for the pups to relax after a day on the road .lodgekq

Today, we’re continuing our journey to Waterford and Cork. We can’t wait to share more of our dog-friendly discoveries along the way, so keep following our adventure! 🐾🚗🇮🇪

‼️ Out of Office! ‼️

After a super busy few weeks during our peak season, we’re finally switching off and taking a well-earned break! 🐶

We won’t be responding to messages or enquiries until Monday 27th July, giving us a chance to recharge before another busy few months with all of your wonderful doggies.

What a fantastic few weeks it’s been! We’ve welcomed large dogs, small dogs, puppies, golden oldies, enjoyed both sunshine and rain, plenty of paddling, zoomies, cuddles, and Petrushka’s 14th birthday 🎈 with fantastic competition entries 📷 and prizes won!

🐾 Holiday Reminder 🐾

Just a little reminder that we’re now closed and will be back for daycare and walks from Monday 27th July.

Today and tomorrow, we’ll be saying goodbye to our lovely boarding doggies before we take a short break. ❤️

We’ll be in touch with everyone booked in from the 27th regarding your daycare and walking services and have some doggies joining us from the 23rd for boarding only.

We’re also so excited to welcome Cody to the team when we return! We can’t wait for you and your pups to meet her, and we’re looking forward to an exciting new chapter for anAND all the doggy daycare Ltd.

🐾❤️ A Huge Thank You! ❤️🐾

As our 'Petrushka Pose' competition comes to an end, we wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to enter and help us celebrate our wonderful boy's 14th birthday! 🎉

We were absolutely overwhelmed by the response and loved seeing all of your gorgeous dogs showing off their personalities. Every single photo made us smile, and we're so grateful to everyone who joined in the fun.
