🐰🇰🇵 MEET KIM JONG BUN! 🇰🇵🐰

Well… this little chap arrived with us yesterday after his owner sadly found themselves facing eviction if they didn’t rehome him, so he needed somewhere safe to go.

And naturally, with a name like this, we’re now expecting big things from Kim Jong Bun. 👑😂

His owner believed he had already been neutered and told us he’d had an injection to stop him breeding.

Except… that injection was his vaccination. 🙈😂

So it turns out Kim Jong Bun is currently very much still in possession of his crown jewels. 👀

We’re now wondering whether he has inherited any other traits from his famous namesake. Is he going to be a tiny dictator? Will he demand complete control of the living arrangements? Will the hay have to be arranged to his exact specifications?

So far, we can confirm he’s a very handsome little Netherlands boy, but we’ll have to wait and see what his personality is really like! 😂

He’s vaccinated and will be booked in for his neuter once he’s settled in.

UPDATE: We have some lovely news — Tessa has come through her surgery and is recovering well. Emma is off to collect her shortly. 🥰

Her vets bill so far is £243.62 and, thanks to your amazing support, we have received £53.82, leaving £189.80 still to raise.

We’re asking for your help today for little Tessa, one of the young guinea pigs who came into our care from the hoarding situation last month.

Tessa is only around 4–5 months old and we already knew she was pregnant. Yesterday, Team Member Em noticed that although Tessa was bright and behaving normally, her shape didn’t look quite right.

Em picked her up to examine her and noticed she had a black discharge, so Tessa was taken straight to the vets.

A scan sadly showed that she has two large babies inside her which have died. She was started on medication immediately and is at the vets today having surgery to remove them.

We are keeping everything crossed for this little girl. Tessa is such a sweet guinea pig and, despite everything she has already been through at such a young age, she has remained a lovely, friendly girl.

We don’t yet know exactly what her final vets bill will be, but with the emergency appointment, scan, medication, surgery and aftercare, we expect it to be well over £300.

As a small rescue, unexpected emergency treatment like this has a huge impact on us, so we would really appreciate any help towards Tessa’s bill.

💜🐰 MEET BERYL 🐰💜

Our lovely Beryl has had a bit of an update!

Beryl came into our care after being seized from a property by Staffordshire Council Environmental Department. We estimated her to be around 2 years old and, although she was a little unsure of things when she first arrived, she has gradually settled and is now showing us what a lovely, sweet-natured girl she really is. 💜

Yesterday she went in to be spayed, and we’re pleased to say she is recovering really well. 🥰

She’ll now have a little time to recover properly before she starts looking for her bunny best friend. Beryl will be ready for bonding from 14th October and can be reserved now for the right home.

She really is a gorgeous girl and we’d love to see her find a wonderful home where she can finally have a bunny companion and all the love she deserves. 🐰💜

🐰🤎 Meet The Lops! 🤎🐰



These gorgeous young French Lops have joined us following an unfortunate mis-sexing mistake at a local nursery — one of those situations that can very quickly result in an unexpected litter! 🙈

They are currently living the good life at team member Amy’s house, where they’re busy eating, growing and generally being very cute while we wait for them to mature enough to be safely neutered. 🥰

In the meantime, all of The Lops are available to reserve. 🏡🐰

Alternatively, they can be adopted before neutering under one of our neuter contracts, meaning they can get settled into their forever home while we make sure their neutering is completed at the appropriate age.

These babies are growing fast, so if you’ve got a soft spot for a big, floppy-eared French Lop, don’t hang around! ❤️

🐰💪 Meet Arnold Schwarzenegger — Arnie for short!

Arnie arrived with us this week after being handed in to a local vets as a stray. He spent his initial 7 days in the vets waiting to see if his owner would come forward, but sadly nobody did, so he has now moved over to us to start his next chapter. ❤️

He’s estimated to be around 12–18 months old and has already made a lovely first impression. He seems to be a very social, confident boy and appears completely unphased by dogs — although we’ll get to know him properly over the coming weeks before making any firm judgements on his personality.

A huge thank you to the vets for looking after Arnie and making sure he was vaccinated before he came into our care. 🥰

Arnie is booked in to be neutered later this month, and once he’s recovered and ready for bonding, we’ll be looking for a wonderful home for him.

We’re hoping this little stray boy will be celebrating Christmas in a home of his own this year. 🎄🐰

We’ll keep you updated as we get to know him a little better!

🐰🖤 Meet Ozzy Osbourne! 🖤🐰

Ozzy was found by a kind member of the public after apparently being dumped in fields around Wolverhampton. He was rescued alongside Sharon, and when they arrived with us, both were suffering from the worst flea infestation we have ever seen. 😔

It took several weeks of treatment, care and plenty of TLC to get them both back on their feet. Ozzy even had a bath — something we would never normally do with a rabbit, but in this case it was absolutely necessary to help him recover. 🛁🐰

Thankfully, that awful chapter is now firmly behind him. ❤️

Ozzy is now fully recovered, vaccinated and neutered, and will be ready for bonding from mid to late September.

After everything this little lad has been through, he deserves a forever home where he can be loved, spoiled and treated like the rock star he is. 🖤🎸

🐹 Skunkette & Lady Marmalade – looking for their forever home

Skunkette and Lady Marmalade are two lovely 18-month-old guinea pigs who came into our care following a change in their previous owner’s circumstances.

Both girls have wonderful characters and have settled really well since arriving with us. They are now ready to find a loving, permanent home where they can continue to thrive.

When they arrived, both girls were very badly matted and needed some much-needed grooming and care. Their coats have now been carefully groomed and we have been keeping on top of them with regular maintenance.

Due to their longer coats, their new family will need to be committed to regular grooming to ensure they remain comfortable and prevent further matting.

The girls can be rehomed together as a pair, or they can be bonded with one of our neutered males to form a trio.

Skunkette and Lady Marmalade are two lovely girls who deserve a home where they will receive the care, companionship and attention they need. We would love to find them a family who will continue to keep their coats in good condition and give them the happy life they deserve.

🐰 Meet Fernando 🤎

We genuinely can’t understand why this lovely little boy is still waiting for his forever home!

Fernando is around 6–7 months old and came into our care alongside Antonio, Wotsit and Quaver after they were advertised on Facebook and found to be living in awful, cramped conditions.

He is the last of his litter mates still waiting for a home, and honestly, we really don’t know why! Fernando is an absolutely lovely character. He’s social, curious and loves to know what’s going on around him. He’s settled brilliantly since coming into the rescue and is well socialised with both people and other rabbits.

He’s also got the most gorgeous ears! At the moment they’re doing their own thing, but we think there’s a very good chance they might completely lop as he gets older. 🥰

Fernando is neutered and vaccinated and is now ready for bonding. He can be bonded with a rabbit already in your home or with one of our rabbits here at the rescue.

He’s such a lovely little boy and we’d really love to see him finally find his forever family. ❤️

Meet Trinity 🐰💜

Trinity is a gorgeous 2-year-old Rex boy who came into our care after his owner sadly faced eviction due to a change in circumstances.

Unfortunately, the letting agency were less than helpful when it came to making sure Trinity could be safely removed from the property. Thankfully, our amazing Emma stepped in, and Trinity is now safe, settled and getting the care he deserves. 💜

Trinity has now been vaccinated and will be heading in for his neuter over the next few weeks. He can be reserved now for the right home, but he will only be able to leave once he has been neutered and has fully recovered.

He’s a lovely boy who is now looking forward to finding his forever family and putting the difficult part of his story behind him. 🐇
