The hottest May Bank Holiday on record… and how lucky are we to have our very own private cooling-off spot here at Little Lodge Farm! ☀️🐴💦

It’s safe to say the river was a sanctuary for the horses during the heatwave. Our private river-access horse area proved incredibly popular, and we’re delighted to be able to offer a safe, horse-only environment. To ensure the best experience for everyone, access is strictly limited to horses and their riders, with no general public, loose dogs, or paddle boards sharing the entrance.

This helps keep the water calm and enjoyable for all horses — even those who aren’t always convinced about taking a dip!

I took Breeze in for a swim on Monday. He’s never quite as keen to go in when I’m riding him as he is when I lead him in, so that’s exactly what we did. Once he was in, he absolutely loved it and made the most of cooling off in the river. 🥰

Days like these remind us just how special our little corner of the forest really is. 🌿💙

I have been at the Suffolk show for the past two days as Savannah and Bumble were part of the North Norfolk mounted games team.
