Jump Around Jumping Spiders

When br33do g my jumping spiders, I always give them a choice. Instead of placing them together in a closed enclosure, I use an open basket setup that allows either spider to leave at any time if they're not interested.

In the wild, male jumping spiders perform elaborate dances to impress females, and the female always has the option to walk away. While captivity can never perfectly recreate nature, giving them the freedom to choose helps keep the process safer and more natural.

A closed container can be risky, as females are often much larger and can seriously injure or even goodbye a male if they're not receptive. If they're happy together, we may get some tiny spider babies. If not, they simply go their separate ways—and that's exactly how it should be.

I am deeply concerned about a TikTok account that appears to be using live animals, including a scorpion, in staged "fights" for views, likes, and gifts. The scorpion appears to be confined in a small box while viewers are encouraged to engage with the content.
If these animals are being harmed, distressed, or placed at risk for entertainment, this should be investigated by the appropriate authorities and animal welfare
I have been blocked and my comments reported. . Instead, if you have seen this content yourself and share these concerns, consider reporting it through the proper channels and documenting any evidence you find.
Animals are not props for online entertainment. They deserve protection from unnecessary suffering.

TRIGGER WARNING , passes spood 😭 Well it was a really hard week. I woke up to mist and say hello to everyone and Venom was at the bottom of his enclosure. I thought for a minute he was just out exploring. But something was not right. I got him out and he was just not there anymore. My daughter was devastated as was I, he was such a gentle soul 🖤

She took making her hammock very seriously 💖 She crafted such a beautiful spherical web, one of the most impressive I have see ! Only for me to see this morning she has laid a clutch of eggs 🥹 Fingers crossed for little Flump babies 🍬
