🐾❤️ A VERY EMOTIONAL GOODBYE… from a member of staff❤️🐾

I honestly never thought I’d find it so difficult to write these words, but the time has come for me to say goodbye to Didcot Pet Store and to all the wonderful people and pets who have made my time here so incredibly special. 🥹

What started as a job became so much more than that. It became a place filled with familiar faces, wagging tails, muddy paws, laughter, conversations, friendships and memories that I will carry with me for a very long time. 🐶🐱🐾

To all of our customers, thank you. Thank you for trusting me, for the chats, the laughs, the smiles and for allowing me to get to know not only you, but your beautiful pets too. Some of them have grown up right in front of me, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been a small part of their lives. ❤️

I’m going to miss seeing all those excited faces coming through the door, the little hellos, the regulars who always stopped for a chat, and of course, all the cuddles and kisses from my four-legged friends. 🥰

And to my amazing colleagues — thank you for the memories, the support, the laughter and for making even the busiest and craziest days so much fun. Leaving is never easy when you’ve been surrounded by such wonderful people, but I know it’s time for me to take the next step and begin a new adventure.

Just look at gorgeous Coco! 😍💕

Coco came in to see our lovely groomer Kat for her very first bath, and what an absolute superstar she was! ⭐️

She had her first bath, explored all the brushes and grooming equipment, enjoyed a lovely blow-dry and, of course, received LOTS of positive praise, cuddles and treats along the way. 🥰🛁🐶

✨ Puppy introductions to grooming are SO important! ✨

Those first experiences can really help set your pup up for life. Grooming can be quite a lot for a little puppy — new smells, sounds, water, brushes, dryers and being handled in unfamiliar ways — so we take things slowly, gently and at your puppy’s pace.

Our aim is to make grooming a happy, positive experience, so when the time comes for their first full haircut, they already feel comfortable and confident. 💕✂️

And it’s not just about the grooming salon! We can also show you  how to care for your puppy’s coat at home and which brushes are best to use, so you can keep those lovely coats healthy between visits. 🐾

Here at Didcot Pet Store/The Dog House we have both a full time very experienced groomer, or our self service no appointment dog wash machine.

Today Cat our groomer had pre booked the self service machine as the bath is both larger and lower than the one in the grooming salon.

This fur machine had fun with the ladies and thoroughly enjoyed his bath..... now to purchase more hoover bags!

The dog wash is available between 9 - 5 Mon - Sat and is currently only £10.

We also have a loyalty card so dont forget to get yours stamped and recieve a free dog wash.

It dispenses its own shampoo and warm water and has a dryer built in, look forward to seeing your fur babies,
