Applications are now open for the Diploma in Equine Training & Coaching – a 12-month, tutor-led programme exploring equine behaviour, learning theory, training and coaching.

The diploma is aligned with ABTC Animal Training Instructor (ATI) standards and combines home study with live online sessions, assignments and ongoing tutor feedback.

The Diploma in Equine Training & Coaching from The NAC was created for people who want to understand behaviour, apply evidence-based training, and work to a recognised professional standard.

This is the first and only equine training diploma aligned with ABTC Animal Training Instructor (ATI) standards, giving you a clear, credible route into a regulated register.

And crucially, this is an alternative route to gain an industry recognised accreditation.
If full-time, in-person study has previously been a barrier to studying an equine qualification, this diploma provides you a way in, whilst maintaining a recognised standard.

This course is built for:
– Equestrians who want a deeper, science-backed understanding of training
– Professionals who want to expand their skill set
– Owners and trainers who want to explore an alternative method of training

The course isn’t just about what you do, it’s about how well you understand it.

You’ll go far beyond “tips and techniques”:

After putting off my reassessment for due to crippling self doubt and self sabotage...I listened to my mentor, submitted my assignments and kept my fingers crossed. I should have listened to him months ago....I now have a qualification that is recognised in the equine industry. Promoting positive horsemanship as an ABTC-ATI 🐴❤️

What a fantastic final day at Valença Classical Riding academy. A lesson, a demonstration and a formation ride culminating in the six of us cantering in formation on beautiful stallions inside an indoor school nose to tail.....what an opportunity. With the stunning Cajado making me work hard in canter again 💕🐴

Wow! What an amazing day! First, a lesson with Valença Classical Riding then a visit to the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art where I saw a picture of Cajado the fabulous schoolmaster that I have been riding in my last two lessons.

The boots cooling off after a very busy afternoon and a fantastic lesson. Having the privilege of riding a beautiful schoolmaster Lusitano stallion, what a day! Worth the 2:30am start....dressed to impress with the new branded clothing from Adornum 💕
