Great to meet with some fellow EPs last week for a trim and dissection day. To maintain our membership with the The Equine Podiatry Association EPs are required to evidence 40hrs of CPD a year. Getting together with colleagues is so valuable to discuss how we might approach a certain trim, share tips, advice and knowledge.

Massive thanks to Bare Remedy Equine Podiatry for organising and huge appreciation to her lovely client who donated feet for the dissection.

What an enlightening and inspiring weekend spectating at Warwick Schiller’s horsemanship clinic — and I actually got to meet my horse hero! 🤩🐴
I originally discovered Warwick’s approach to help my own pony, but it’s become something I use every single day, with every horse I work with.

The goal is to make them feel heard, understood and safe in your presence. Then most obstacles or problems can be overcome.

And I think that’s the key to truly good horsemanship.

Plenty of frog shedding this morning!

All rather thrushy underneath but in this instance thrush is actually quite helpful, in assisting the frogs to shed.

When exposed to the air it all clears up, leaving behind beautiful healthy frogs.

Just love this time of year for trimming, such a relief with frogs shedding and soles exfoliating, not to be working with feet as hard as granite. And I just love how new frog and sole looks so lovely, fresh and clean. Ready for the new season ahead.

Dear Clients,

A quick update to let you know that from October, my trimming fee will increase by £5 per horse.

I have kept my prices unchanged for the past two years and have been very conscious of keeping my fees fair and reasonable. This small increase will allow me to continue providing the same level of care, time and expertise that I pride myself on, and I don’t anticipate increasing my prices again for at least another two years.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for trusting me with your horses. I genuinely appreciate every one of you and the loyalty you show to my small business. ❤️

I'm very aware of this Autumn flush of grass we have right now, personally, Rocky's track which has been dust and dirt all summer has greened up in a matter of days..... I'm checking pulses daily and providing plenty of hay.
