✨Why do I train my riders from the ground and not just on board… ✨

Training riders from the ground, as well as on the horse is important because it builds correct balance, posture, coordination, and understanding.

When riders learn how their body works on the ground, they can apply the aids more clearly, sit more evenly, and ride with better confidence with what they are asking.

A simple off-horse routine I like to use is: start with standing (feet under hips, soft knees, standing tall), then practice lifting one foot for 10 seconds on each side to feel balance and then add arm circles while keeping the body stable.

Then immediately get on and notice how much steadier and clearer everything feels from your connection and seat.
