We’re all set up and ready for another fabulous day at the 💚

Despite the wind trying its absolute best to send us flying down the high street 😂 the weather is holding off and the atmosphere is already amazing. There’s just something so special about this event. Friendly faces, familiar customers, local families, brilliant independent businesses and that lovely community spirit that makes Horbury feel like home.

This fayre will always hold a special place in our hearts because it’s one of the very first events where Aurora Paws really began to grow. Every year we come back, it feels like one big catch up with friends old and new.

If you’re out and about today, come down and support your local small businesses, grab a coffee, have a wander, say hello and enjoy everything this amazing community event has to offer 💛

We honestly cannot believe we are heading back to one of our absolute favourite weekends of the year… The Horbury Street Fayre 🥹💚

Horbury Street Fayre

This year marks our FIFTH year trading at this fabulous local event, and it genuinely holds such a special place in our hearts. Long before the big shows, trade stands and crazy road trips across the country, this fayre was one of the places that helped Aurora Paws begin its journey. To still be returning all these years later means the world to us.

There is just something so lovely about a weekend spent surrounded by familiar faces, friendly locals, fellow small businesses, supportive friends, family and customers who have followed our journey from the very beginning. Some of you first bought from us here years ago and still come back every single year to see what chaos we’ve created next 😂

The atmosphere at Horbury is always incredible — independent businesses lining the streets, dogs everywhere you look, lots of laughter, too much cake, endless chatting and that proper community spirit that reminds you exactly why supporting local matters so much.

We are SO excited to bring all of our eco toys, meet lots of new faces and spend the weekend catching up with everyone. Please come and say hello, let the dogs pick their own toy (we all know they’re the real decision makers anyway 😂) and support all the amazing local traders who work so hard behind the scenes to make this event so special every year.

One of our small business besties .dog.collective absolutely understood the assignment and sent us these FAB photos of gorgeous Lottie putting Karen the Squid through her paces 😂🐙💪

And honestly… this is exactly why Karen is one of our best sellers. Nearly TWO MONTHS later and she’s still going strong despite what looks like some very serious squid-based chaos 👀🤣

Karen’s probably seen things no squid should ever see at this point, but she’s clearly holding her own against Team Lottie 😂

We absolutely LOVE getting updates like this from our customers. Seeing your dogs genuinely enjoy our toys makes all the hard work worth it 🖤

I’m going to pop some videos up later of Lottie and Karen in full action mode because trust me… this duo are chaos together and it’s brilliant 😂🐾

Super excited to be back where Aurora Paws began.

This event is so special to us, not just because it was the beginning of our business journey, but because of the atmosphere and energy, this really is a community event.

Six years ago, right in the middle of the pandemic, our beautiful Darcey came crashing into our lives ❤️

Found wandering the streets, underweight, frightened and with hardly any fur, we’ll never know exactly what this little soul had been through before us. Most likely used for breeding and then discarded when she was no longer “needed” — something that still breaks our hearts to think about.

Fast forward six years and she’s become the happiest, most loving little dog imaginable. She may only have half a brain cell between her ears 😂 forever walking into windows, bouncing off doors, falling off furniture and generally causing chaos… but she wakes up every single day full of joy, love and trust.

What makes rescue dogs so special is that somehow, after everything they’ve been through, they still choose love.

I honestly don’t think Darcey will ever truly realise just how deeply adored she is. She didn’t just find a home that day… she completed ours 🥹

Today Brianna took her squirrel hunting duties very seriously over at Cannon Hall 🐿️🍂

Armed with a waggy tail, endless enthusiasm and a nose that never stops working, she spent the day having a proper good sniff around searching for Hazel the Squirrel 👀😂 Safe to say every bush, tree stump and suspicious pile of leaves got thoroughly investigated.

Along the way she met lots of lovely dogs, made plenty of new furry friends and charmed absolutely everyone she passed — as usual 💁🏼‍♀️🐶

To finish off the perfect day, Brianna treated herself to the ultimate reward at The Pear Tree Pantry in the Walled Garden… a puppachino AND a dog ice cream 🍦☕ Honestly, living a better social life than the rest of us at this point 😂



Cannonhall museum & Gardens really is one of our favourite places for a wander — beautiful surroundings, lovely people and plenty of squirrel spotting opportunities for mischievous little explorers like Bri 🐾💚
