KITTEN/ CAT ADOPTIONS ❤️🐾
Please only apply for a kitten if you are serious about adopting/ homing a kitten! Our time is limited as it is, between taking care of cats, running the rescue and also working full time jobs, we don't have hours to waste on people applying for kittens/ cats that arent serious about adoptions. The amount of messages that are ignored, or people who are taken through the homing process, only to pull out at the last minute is a lot.
⚠️ The kittens/ cats are not free! It is £100 per kitten, including neutering and microchipping. The price increases if you want vaccinations carrying out. If you can't afford the adoption fee, or want a free kitten/ cat, please don't apply.
⚠️ The cats and kittens all have requirements and needs. Read their adoption posts and if your home doesn't fit what they need, they are not the kittens/ cat for you. No, we will not split up bonded pairs, or allow you to rehome one of the cats from a bonded pair a year later when they have grown up.
⚠️ A home visit is required. You will need to pass a home visit before you can view any cats/ kittens. We will not be handing kittens/ cats over to any homes that have not been vetted.
⚠️ Please know, we try and match kittens/ cats to homes they will thrive in. Trying to put a kitten/ cat into a home where they won't be happy or will be frightened because of other pets/ children etc will only result in the cat/ kitten being handed back into care at a later date. The cats and kittens are all assessed, as much as they can be, before homing. Their forever home needs to be a good fit.
⚠️ You will never be able to adopt an 8 week old kitten from us. The cats/ kittens are all neutered and chipped before they leave our care. That means kittens need to be a certain weight before neutering. Although we get early neutering weights via our vets, these kittens are still not going to be 8 weeks old. Kittens also need to stay with their Mum's much longer than 8 weeks old to learn from her and become well rounded, happy kittens.
Going forward, the kitten waiting list will be no more.
We will be advertising kittens for reservation as they become available and no enquiries for homes prior to the kittens being ready for reservation will be accepted. If there is a particular kitten you see on the page that you like, you will have to wait until their homing post goes up and then apply to adopt them. If further messages from the rescue are ignored regarding the adoption, we will not hold the kitten and your adoption application will be cancelled.
Once a home visit has passed and you are sure you want the kitten you have applied for, a deposit of £50 is required to reserve the kitten.
Hopefully this will reduce the number of hours we spend on chasing messages and people for answers and responses.
