Your dog should have at least 1 solo walk before joining a group walk (the reality is the number is probably a lot higher than one ) .

Here’s the thing without truly knowing and understanding your dog , a dog walker really has no idea how your dog will react in a group setting and a quick meet and greet doesn’t cut it before throwing the dog into group walks !

Take Toto here for example , he started with me 7 or 8 months ago and was not ready for group walks , barking at pretty much every other dog on a walk and trying his hardest make his presence known .

After months of learning , observing and understanding Toto’s nuances , I slowly began to introduce him to other dogs . Different breeds , different temperaments and different requirements and now he can be walked in any group I wanted to walk him in .

He still gets solo walks at least once a week so I can spend extra time with him and strengthen our bond and his response to other dogs .

Give your dog the chance to truly enjoy group walks by ensuring they spend good time, quality time with their walker in a 1-1 setting first ! 🐾🐶

Getting group walks right is VITAL your dog should not be thrown into walks with loads of other dogs without the correct care , preparation and monitoring .

Group walks , the wrong way can absolutely be detrimental to your dog and their experience with others and your dog walker should be doing the work to get this right and ensure your dog and others are right for a group walk .

If there isn’t at least 1 solo walk to start it’s not being done properly .🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve been doing this for a while now , and it’s safe I have the best ‘Job’ I could possibly have 🙌🏼 there is nothing better than walking dogs in this part of the world 🐕‍🦺 from how excited they are when I pick them up to the beautiful views to being able to help dogs have the best life 😍 I’m truly grateful to everyone who has trusted me and can not wait to meet and help more dogs 🐶
