KODA x FREDDIE x ARCHIE

A first proper group walk for me👀😂 but these three dogs made it a lot easier to start off.

All have recall, all walk nicely on lead, all are able to co-exist and be respectful of each other's space, whilst also ignoring other dogs we come across in public (only two, it was raining😂).

I did take my time in doing a group walk but getting the dynamic of a multi-household group is important. Freddie & Archie don't particularly enjoy other dogs being close to them, especially Archie having previously been flooded by dogs in a daycare setting, but they are matched nicely by Koda being happy doing her own thing - usually screaming as she tries carrying a log🤡🤪

SUMMER DOGS

A nice and easy way to mentally stimulate your dog when it's too hot to take them out on walks.

Using their favourite toy (Koda loves a Kong) should make the dog want to search for it more, and making the dog wait whilst you prepare hiding the toy should also build their excitement through anticipation.

Rubbing the toy on different areas helps to spread the scent around rather than in one place, making the dog work harder using its nose to find where you've actually hidden it. You can always use multiple toys too!

Sniffing around is fun for dogs, and it is also tiring whilst generally moving around at lower intensity (dog dependent - Koda's a psycho) which is better for the dog in warm conditions.

Make it all fun and dance at the end. Double the excitement for the dog that they have found the toy and they get to play with you too!

Winston's so goofy and laid back. Koda's very intense and usually looking for something to bite (legally). Always nice to have a different mix of personality amongst dogs.

My long, long awaited review from Archie's family😂 Small backstory, I've known his family long before they got Archie but he is the reason I started the business as he got himself kicked out of daycare, and they needed an unemployed, chubby me to look after him because he only really listens to me (mostly true😁).

Love this boy to bits so always looking forwards to having him with me!
