Voce Viva RL - Viva Gold x Rubin Royal x Waldsee

Absolutely delighted that Voce Viva RL received his British Hanoverian Licensing this week at the BHHS Annual Show!

We couldn’t be more proud to not only own but to have bred a stallion of this quality! His incredible temperament and trainability shone throughout the whole show.

It was also great fun to take part in our first stallion show in the evening, he loved showing off and lapped up the attention!

Huge thanks to Kate Eaton and all the BHHS team for supporting British Breeders and putting on such a fabulous showcase.

Very much looking forward to turning our focus to sport over the winter, and keep your eyes peeled for updates of his stud availability next spring!

Glow up day!

Voce Viva aged 1, attending the BHHS C**t assessment. Straight from the field, he may have looked scruffy but his temperament really shines through that day. He left his field friends, traveled on his own, got stuck in traffic so arrived as everyone else was leaving and showed himself off in hand having not had a single practice!

Aged 2 at his stallion licensing, and what a difference a year makes!

Aged 4, having not long made his demo debut at the BD Presents North demo and preparing for his competition career to kick start!

Whilst dressage is the main focus for Vino, he also loves to hack, do lots of polework and enjoys jumping! Having had to loose jump for his stallion licensing and showing great promise, he carried on some jumping under saddle even attending some training shows! He will continue jumping for fun and may make a competitive debut at some point alongside his dressage career!

Voce Viva RL - Where it all began…

‘Vino’ was the fourth foal bred by RL Dressage. After acquiring ‘Royal Fee’ as our foundation broodmare, we started off with older, more proven stallions as she was unproven herself.
After 3 stunning foals, which she stamped herself consistently, we decided to use a younger stallion for her next one.
A trip to Germany followed, and seeing Viva Gold we instantly knew he was the one!
Viva Gold is by Vivaldi, out of a For Romance daughter of Isabel Werth’s championship ride ‘Weihegold’ so combined some of the best dressage bloodlines.
It has been a lifelong dream to breed a licensed stallion so we were delighted the following year with the arrival of a chestnut c**t! The dream started to look like becoming a reality when he scored a huge 8.9 at his BHHS foal grading, going on to become reserve c**t champion, reserve foal champion and win the Mare Families class with his Mum and sister ‘Donner Fee RL’ at the 2021 BHHS Annual Show!

Welcome to the page of Voce Viva RL!

Starting off 2026 with the Riviera PR Ltd 🎉

Voce Viva RL is a five year old British Hanoverian stallion, licensed with the British Warmblood Society and British Rheinland Society.

Bred and produced by Amateur breeders Rob Gilsenan and Lucinda Bellis of RL Dressage.

By the super exciting Viva Gold, now in training with Isabel Werth, out of Royal Fee (Rubin Royal x Waldsee).

He also welcomed his first foal in 2025, the beautiful Pierre, bred by Sandra Ogden.

We can’t wait for 2026 and to bring you along with us!
