How we’ve been keeping cool during this week’s heatwave! 🐶💛
🐾Skipping midday walks! No dog has ever become ill from missing a walk. Keeping cool in the shade, indoors or in the garden, is super important. Dogs should not be walked in temperatures above 23°C.
🏡Garden pop-ins instead of walks are a great opportunity to practice training, enjoy some fresh air, and learn new tricks!
🌳If we are walking, it’s early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are below 23°C. Choosing shaded routes with access to water is always on our agenda.
❄️ Keeping cool indoors with cooling mats, avoiding lying in direct sunlight, and creating a breeze with a fan helps keep everyone a little more comfortable. And if you’re Milo… sunglasses and a hat are essential!
💧 Always make sure your dog has access to plenty of cool, clean, fresh water.
🍦 Frozen treats are a favourite in our house! Doggy ice cream is always a hit, and frozen lick mats are a fantastic way to help dogs stay cool and entertained.
Keeping cool and staying safe is so important for our furry babies during this extreme weather. Take care of yourselves and your pups, and stay safe everyone! 🐶💛
