🐶 AN IMPORTANT REMINDER OF POLICIES 🐶
❌ CANCELLATION FEES: cancellation fees in the past have been £15 across the board. This will be changed now to 50% of the groom price, if cancelled the day before or the same day.
For example, if your full groom of £40 is on Wednesday, and you message on Tuesday to cancel, there’ll be a £20 payable cancellation fee: Giving notice on the Monday would bypass any fees.
⏰ LATE PAYMENT FEES: appointments are payable the day of, otherwise there will be a late payment fee of £10 for one day late, going up by £2 every day thereafter.
For example, your appointment is Tuesday, you don’t pay until Wednesday. There is a £10 fee. Thursday, £12, Friday, £14, and onwards.
We all know my memory is terrible, so if the fault is mine there will of course be no charge! I have a habit of forgetting to send payment links out, thanks ADHD 😅
🦟 FLEAS: with flea season on the rise, this is more pertinent than ever. A flea bath is £5 to add on to any groom, and £10 if I do find fleas on your dog. For extra large breeds, or full infestations, this fee may increase. Your pup may be in for extra time due to having to dry more carefully, whilst looking for fleas. The shop also needs fully hoovered & sprayed with anti-flea spray afterwards.
If you think your dog has fleas, please tell me beforehand. I’m now selling flea shampoo in the reception area also, to hopefully make flea season a little easier!
🚗 LATE PICKUPS: I do not have the facilities to look after dogs that aren’t picked up on time, and this causes delays to the rest of my appointments that day. An approximate time can be given at drop-off, and a message will be sent 15–30 minutes prior to pickup. Late fees starting at £5 are payable from 15 minutes onwards. This is not to say I’m okay with people being 5–10 mins late, please be on time 😅
🪮 MATTING: matting fees begin at £5 and will increase depending on the severity of matting. For example, a dog with a matted tail that can be saved, will be charged a dematting fee of £5. If the tail is too tightly matted to be brushed out, there will be a matting fee starting at £5. A full body pelt will start at £15 for extra small breeds.
Matting causes increased wear on my blades and scissors, as they have to work harder to cut through the tangled coat.
Matting increases the risk of skin problems, including hot spots and haematomas. It can be dangerous to remove matting as the coat is so tightly compacted to the skin, it can be difficult to avoid scrapes and nicks from clippers and scissors.
Lastly, I am only one person. Please be patient with me as I aim to reply to all messages within 2-3 days. I am less likely to respond during the day as the dog on my table takes priority over any admin work. Urgent messages of course take priority over non-urgent queries.
Thanks so much if you read all of this, please comment a cute picture of your pup 😆🩷
