Did you know training can happen anywhere — even on a walk?

Training isn’t just about practising commands at home. Every walk is a chance to build focus, improve engagement, and help your dog learn how to make good choices in the real world.

At Woodys Walkies, our Walk & Train sessions combine exercise, enrichment, and training to support your dog’s individual needs.

Send us a message if you’d like to discuss how we could help your dog! 🐾

It’s a warm one! ☀️

Please remember to take extra care of your dogs in this heat.

🐾 Walk them early in the morning or later in the evening.
💧 Make sure they’ve always got plenty of fresh water.
🌳 Stick to shady areas where you can.
🔥 And always check the pavement before heading out – if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

At Woodys Walkies, your dog’s safety always comes first. On really hot days we’ll shorten walks, find plenty of shade, take lots of water, or swap a walk for some garden play and enrichment if that’s the better option.

We have a few spaces available for new clients at the moment. If you’re looking for a friendly, reliable dog walker, just send us a message – we’d love to chat! 🐾

One very happy dog making the most of the sea this morning! We definitely feel lucky to have Mersea on our doorstep on days like these. Just to reassure everyone, this was one of our early morning walks before it got too hot. 🥵 In this weather we always walk earlier, keep the dogs cool and put their safety first. ❤️ Safe, happy dogs and lots of waggy (or soggy!) tails 🐾

We popped in to see the very handsome Reggie and he was an absolute delight as always 🖤 Such a lovely boy with the sweetest nature and a waggy tail that says it all! With the weather being super hot this week 🔥, we still have availability for drop in visits — perfect for keeping your pets happy, comfortable, cool and cared for while you’re out!
