Another very special thank you must go to Joe and Joyce Spedding, Salter Hall, who dispersed their flock at Mitchells yesterday.

Making the occasion even more heartwarming was their incredibly generous donation of a shearling, sold in aid of Childrenโ€™s Cancer North.

The shearling was purchased for ยฃ550 each by David Walker, Julie Brough and Mitchells Auction Co, before being sold again to James, Charlie and Lucas of Low Farm, Baggra .. raising a fantastic total of ยฃ2,150! ๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ

Judith will be taking on the Great North Run in less than two weeksโ€™ time in support of this amazing charity.

โ€œAn increased entry of Shearlings on the year drew strong local interest, sheep which had reared lambs, were double vaccinated for abortion, and in nice body condition were easily sold, however dry ran commercial types proved harder to shift on the year with blue tongue restrictions to the north and climatic factors to the south certainly curtailing some custom, all in all a largely successful day for the majority vendorsโ€๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿฅฐ
