🩶 You don’t have to grieve the loss of your pet alone

Pet loss can be incredibly painful, whether your beloved companion passed recently or many years ago. Or maybe you have a poorly pet at the moment. Whether their life was cut short by illness, they reached a wonderful old age, or you had to make the heartbreaking decision to let them go — your grief matters.

I’m offering a small, supportive online pet loss support group, held on the 1st Wednesday of every month.

🌿 Maximum 6 people
💻 Online, so you can join from the comfort of your own home
💷 £10 non-refundable fee to secure your place

Keeping the group to just six people means there is time and space for everyone. It’s a gentle, confidential environment where you can:

🩶 Share memories and feelings without judgement
🩶 Connect with others who truly understand the pain of pet bereavement
🩶 Feel less alone in your grief
🩶 Explore the different emotions that can come with losing a pet
🩶 Receive compassionate support and reassurance

There is no “right” time to grieve.

It doesn’t matter whether your loss happened last week, last year or many years ago. It doesn’t matter how old your pet was, whether they were ill, had an accident, reached the end of a long life, or you had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye.

Every pet is important.
Every relationship is unique.
And every grief deserves a safe place to be heard. 🐾💔

If you feel you could benefit from a small, understanding group where you can talk openly about your pet and your loss, please get in touch to reserve your place.

Only 6 places available each month 🩶

✨ Online pet loss support group ✨

Next session is this Wednesday 2nd September at 7-8pm

Losing a beloved pet can leave an enormous hole in your life. Yet sometimes, because they were “just a pet” in other people’s eyes, it can feel difficult to find somewhere to talk openly about the depth of that loss.

That’s why I’m offering a small online pet loss support group, with a maximum of just 6 people.

Keeping the group small means there is space for everyone to be heard, without feeling lost in a crowd. It offers the opportunity to:

🩶 Talk openly about your pet and your grief
🩶 Feel understood by others who have experienced pet loss
🩶 Share memories, feelings and the challenges that come with grief
🩶 Listen to others and realise you’re not alone in what you’re experiencing
🩶 Receive gentle support and guidance around navigating pet bereavement
🩶 Have a safe, compassionate space where there is no pressure to “move on” or be okay before you’re ready

The group is held online, so you can join from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

There is no right way to grieve a pet, and there is no set timeline. Sometimes, simply being with people who get it can make the journey feel a little less lonely.

🐾 Maximum 6 places to keep the group supportive, less overwhelming and personal.

£10 (non refundable fee) for the 60 mins session.

If you feel this kind of support could help you, please get in touch 🩶

Today is Rainbow Bridge Pet Memorial Day 🌈

This poem gave me great comfort when I lost my first dog Johnny and read it for the first time.

A poem where the pets are reunited one day with each owner in a meadow at rainbow bridge.

Some of you may not find comfort in this, or have other beliefs. And that’s ok too. We all find comfort in different things.

Whatever you beliefs are together we remember all our beloved past pets, today and always 🩶

🩶 BENEATH THE SURFACE

I am looking forward to meeting up with Beneath The Surface this weekend at K9-SAR Pawfest event

Beneath the surface is a voluntary underwater search and rescue team that cover the UK to assist in searching and locating in rivers, lakes and canals.

They are involved in rescues involving people and pets. When I spoke with Phil the very first time I was so inspired by the work he and his team do. All on a completely voluntary basis too outside their own full time jobs.

There stories involve many cases where the pets they are searching for never intended to be in the water, or that they were extremely used to being in, when an accident occurred.

The outcomes are not always what is hoped, but they are all committed to the search no matter what 💔

I was so inspired that I offered to volunteer on the spot.

Phil also travels the UK teaching water safety too. Some of you may meet him in that role.

Phil, Emma and Jemma - look forward to seeing you all Sunday 🩶

Nature baths 🛀 🌲

I hadn’t heard of this phrase until last week. When I looked into it I realised it was also forest bathing. I think I maybe had heard of that term but wasn’t sure!

I do this often and know it as my happy place (and now I know why)🌲🌲🌲🌲

Spend 2️⃣0️⃣ mins there

📵 No phone as a distraction (maybe on silent if you may need it for an emergency) ‼️

Pay attention to what you can hear 👂 smell 👃 feel 🙇🏻‍♀️ and see 👀

✅ improve mood
✅ reduce stress
✅ helps to relax
✅ helps to restore
✅ connect to nature
✅ helps aid better sleep

Have you tried it ❓

Not being able to discuss your loss with friends 🩶

This comes up all the time. There are just some people in this world who have never had the privilege of that special relationship with a companion animal.

Even some family members who know how strong the bond is may not “get it”.

That’s when group support is most helpful. Similar strong bonds discussed with others who do get it.

Maximum of 6 people and then you can listen and share if you so wish.

All with the same goal. To support and validate each other’s heartbreak. To truly listen to someone’s loss and of course they are all different. But you may find lots of similarities running through each story.

1st Wednesday of each month 7-8pm.
